Hey there. Strange times, eh? As a small business, we're feeling the pressure with a lot of projects canceled, but due to having amazing, generous clients over the last few years, we will be just fine. We're more worried about our local St. Louis community and small businesses that rely on consistent cash flow. Tell us how we can help.

If you know of, or own, a small business or nonprofit that needs help with video messaging right now, please get in touch. We can volunteer time and resources, give advice, or help spread the word about what you need. Don't hesitate to ask for help—we'll do whatever we can. Thanks, and take care. -Dan

6-7 months between social media posts? That seems about right for ol' Fat Chance.

But big news, pals. Our first independent documentary, Turf War, just made it into the Sun Valley Film Festival! It's a big deal. This year's festival features folks like Meg Ryan, Aaron Paul, Jay Duplass, Ross Kaufmann of Fictionless, Scilla Andreen of IndieFlix, Nick Broomfield, Running with Beto Doc, and exactly one thousand more badass filmmakers, and they're all coming JUST to see our film!! (I'm assuming that last part...)

Turf War is one of only a handful of short documentaries selected, so we're really honored that the good folks at SVFF picked us. Also, we're desperately wishing that we could go back to beautiful southern Idaho and visit our former home of Twin Falls, but sorry Times-News Alison Smith and Drew Nash and everyone. We'll be thinking of you from afar.

But if you're one of our Idaho friends, go to Sun Valley and root for us! Or pretend to be us and do some schmoozing on our behalves!

Drumroll please...our first independently-produced documentary is on its way! The short film "Turf Grass" premieres Saturday, July 21, at the St. Louis Filmmakers Showcase. It's the best film about suburban zoning of the entire SUMMER:

Obviously, mentioning this for the first time four days before the premiere, we're really, really good at self-promotion, so no need to tell your friends or go buy tickets or anything. We totally have it under control.

Actually, please tell your friends. Please buy tickets. Please grab a beer with us beforehand. It's an odd film about a draconian ordinance in St. Peters, MO, that will blow your mind, and it's a year of work in the making, and we could definitely use your support. Thanks, pals.

P.S. If you really drumrolled at the start of this post...you're a good friend and a sucker.

Here's about 7% of the big ol' project we have been working on for Parks College, Saint Louis University. And a major shout-out to Matt Rice for the production assistance on all of these videos. He's good at stuff.

That's right, dudes, we're still alive. We spent the winter hard at work, rejecting the primal call of hibernation, and instead making tons of videos. Here's one of many for Parks College, Saint Louis University.

FCM spam email of the week:

"Good Day,

Forgive my indignation if this message comes to you as a surprise and may offend your personality for contacting you without your prior consent and writing through this channel."

Personality: Offended.

FCM spam email lead of the day: "Greetings, I don't want you to feel sorry for me, because, I Believe Everyone will die someday."

Solid belief there, Mrs. Angela Benjamin.

And no, I can't manage that fund.
