Sometimes the absolute best locations are the ones hidden right in plain sight! 💧🌿 Stephanie wanted a session full of flowers and water, so I took her to one of my absolute favorite secret pockets in Forest Park.

She kicked off her shoes and spent the afternoon walking barefoot through the shallow, sunlit creek bed. The way the light filtered through the thick overhanging trees made the entire session feel like a secluded woodsy escape, right in the middle of the city! 🌳✨

If you love the idea of water, nature, and raw, candid movement, this is your sign to skip the stiff poses and jump right into the elements.

I recently had a session with a senior at a beautiful, new-to-me park (that in all honesty I had been wanting to visit anyway! 🤩). It was the perfect backdrop, especially since he loves to go fishing there! 🎣 I love when seniors pick meaningful locations to them as it always adds something extra special to their portraits. Despite the lack of intense fall colors this year, we were able to find so much beauty in such a short time. We captured a great variety of awesome portraits, including some lovely family photos 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦, making the most of every autumn-colored spot we found. 🍁

Unfortunately, our time was cut short when a light sprinkle 💧 unexpectedly turned into a full-on downpour, forcing us to head back to our cars! 🏃‍♀️ This unpredictable weather sure isn't fun. 🌧️ But I'm not worried about the abrupt ending at all! We still got some amazing fall photos, and the good news is that this just means our adventure will continue! ✨ We're already planning follow-up sessions to capture him in the snow ❄️ during winter and when the flowers begin to bloom again in the spring 🌸, giving him a full seasonal gallery to mark his senior year.

I had the most amazing time shooting Phoebe this past weekend! 🤩 It may have been windy, but I'm so glad the rain happened the day before, because we had a jam-packed, four-hour session. ⏰ And with a session that long, after we were done Phoebe was still ready to go! 💪

We started off exploring The Loop, which was the perfect vibe for her. 🎶 Phoebe absolutely killed it with her outfits. She rocked her personalized Class of 2026 and Jaguars gear on her custom jeans and a senior sweatshirt. 💙💛 Phoebe was so full of ideas that made it easy to fill those 4 hours! One thing she really wanted to take pictures on were fire escape steps, which not only did we find, but they were next to some incredible murals. 🎨 One of my favorite details about her portion at The Loop was that she brought headphones into Vintage Vinyl! 🎧 We had so much fun making it look like she was jamming out while picking records, and honestly, it was the perfect accessory. Plus, we got the amazing shots she wanted in front of The Pageant! ✨

We wrapped up the session at Queeny Park, which was filled with the tall grass Phoebe was looking for! 🌾 We got some stunning shots with my green chair, and the photo of her twirling in her dress in the field is just magical. 💫 She brought the best personal touches, too. Her kindergarten photo 🥺, a class ring 💍, playbills 🎭, and even her childhood stuffed animal.

📸 You’re not just booking a photo session—you’re booking an experience. ✨

I show up with more than a camera. I bring energy, ideas, and all the little things that make the day smoother—like a changing tent, a lint roller, wet wipes, even floss (yes, floss!) 🙌

One mom, Laurie, shared:

Today we remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on 9/11, a day that forever changed the USA. 🇺🇸 A few years back, Forest Park hosted a beautiful memorial where a flag was placed for every soldier, firefighter, EMT, and police officer who gave their lives. There were boards displayed with photos of every person who died on the planes and in the towers.

As I looked over those faces, I spotted little girls just 4 years old — the same age I would have been then. 💔 It pulled at my heart to think about how those kids would be my age now, building careers, growing families, chasing dreams.

Today is a day to pause and honor their memories. 🕯️
