Welp. I think it’s time for that post. Five years ago I bought a camera with my first nursing paycheck to just take pictures of my dog. After many many dog pictures it spiraled into the most amazing side hustle. I met so many new families and got to be part of so many special moments. It really was such a magical ride. But with all rides, they eventually circle back to the start and come to and end. With all these big life changes coming up this year I have made the impossibly hard decision to no longer take this on. Besides a few small shoots I already had planned (you should have received an email if that is you. Please reach out if you didn’t) it’ll be just back to the basics of me and my dogs. I’m not sure if this is a forever thing. Or just a few years thing when I have my new roles figured out. But what I do know is how incredibly thankful and grateful I am for all the support over the last five years. I have gotten to watch and capture families grow and there are not many things better than that. I hope that maybe our paths will cross in some other way but until then, thank you from the deepest depths of my heart. If you need recommendations for photographers let me know!

Y’all. These views had me wishing I had brought my camera. But also I know I was grateful to not have to worry about it the whole trip 😅

I am back from a friends trip to Tahoe and between catching up, all our activities, and the craziness of the airport I did not get to edit as much as I had planned.

I aim for a 2-3 week turnaround but I am contracted for 5-6 weeks. I am doing my absolute best to get them to you ASAP but this has been my busiest busy season yet. Please know I am doing my best but also have to leave time for myself between hospital shifts and editing.

With all this said, I have decided to deem myself FULLY BOOKED until mid February (pending dr clearance).

I am so so grateful for such an amazing group of clients and how busy they have kept me but I want to make sure I have the time to edit and deliver current albums and sessions before the holidays.

I am so excited for a little bit of down time (but also nervous because what do I even do with myself). I can’t wait to see you all next year.

PS. If you’re still reading. If you missed out on pictures this year I am so so sorry. I absolutely hate that I can’t take on everyone. But just make a mental note that I’ll book up even faster next year as my wedding is smack dab in the middle of busy season.

Just a reminder I will be out starting mid November through mid to late January. Unfortunately my money maker of a right shoulder needs a little repair. I have had to turn down quite a few newborn sessions already and I just know I’ll be doing more of that the closer we get to needing holiday pictures. As much as it breaks my heart I just can’t fit y’all in.

Training for next year when I take time off for my own wedding. 😜
