Schiller's Camera, St. Louis, Missouri

I took a photo class at my local camera shop (Schiller's) and learned a lot about macro photography from Tim Farmer. This photo had a fairly complex setup with lighting, and I used an 8-shot, in camera photo stack at f/8, 60mm.

Selkirk Shores State Park

I took this earlier in the year while in upstate New York at the power plant. The power plant is Nine Mile point nuclear station located on lake Ontario roughly an hour north of Syracuse NY. I was working nights at the plant and would stop by the park to eat my breakfast and wake up with some photography every morning. This was usually the only sunlight id see all day until I woke up the next day to go back into work so I made sure to make it count.

The beach ended up being in a perfect location to catch the sun dipping behind the plant and creating a nice rich contrast.

This is the jpeg straight from my camera, no post editing anywhere. My camera and settings are as follows.

I was talking the beach in Barcelona when I happened to notice this surfer catching a wave. As luck would have it he got the perfect set up to ride the tube, and as my luck would have it, I was in the perfect position to catch it with my 200mm lens.
I have an after shot as well and you can see his excitment at the moment he just experienced.
