🌹 Psalms 91 🌹

"Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare and from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

You will not fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday.

A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come near you. You will only observe with your eyes and see the punishment of the wicked.

"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us. For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.
For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be liberated from its bo***ge to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God.

The Full Armor of God
~ Ephesians 6:10-18 ~

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.

In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

This verse 🥰

While "...each day has enough trouble of its own" (Matthew 6:34b), each day also has the Lord's mercies sprinkled throughout. They may not be as noticeable as the troubles, but they are there.✨️💖✨️

Trials and tribulations are going to come.
And when they do, it's okay to be mad, sad, grieve, cry out, mourn...

We're even told in Ecclesiastes, "For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven:... a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance" (Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4)

God tells us, "Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
Blessed.
Not just comforted.
Blessed, According to Jesus.✨️

"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18)
He is near you.
He doesn't leave you.
He saves you.

"Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us."
Psalm 62:8

God can handle all your waves of emotions.
He won't tire of you. He's big enough for all of you. 💜

"Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”

Did you catch that?

Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego are about to be thrown into King Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace for not worshipping the chocolate bunny 🐰 -

for not worshipping King Nebuchadnezzar's golden figure.
And they're response to this?
They tell King Nebuchadnezzar their God CAN deliver them, *but even if He does not* they still will not serve any other god.

They know God can save them,
But even if He does not...
They aren't leaving their God.
And they're not worshipping any other god.

Coming to the point of "even if He does not" in my own trials has been so freeing. I know my God CAN, but even if He does not, I'm not going anywhere.

Trials and Tribulations will come.
They are a guaranteed part of life.
Having them does not mean:
• That you don't have enough faith.
• That you are failing.
• That you are weak.

Having Trials and Tribulations means that you are a human living in this world.

God's Word gives us much Wisdom on how to live through the hard seasons of this world. And how we can be a victor in our battles through Jesus Christ.

Victory does not mean our challenges are any less difficult, instead it describes our soul's condition during our storms and after they pass.
