All around me, people are lighting up with creative ideas to make the most out of our stay-at-home orders. Sidewalk chalk and window paintings are bringing messages of hope and joy. Teddy Bears and hearts are hiding in windows for people to find on their own I-spy adventures. These people are finding a new center of joy. They found a new focus when everything else was chaos. We are living history, and I want both be a part of the joy that is coming out of this dust and also to help other people capture their adventures to remember them forever.

And that is how the FOCUS Photography Project was born.
I want to help you keep you and your kids’ minds busy and growing while all the things you’d normally love to do have been cancelled. You’ll learn how to take better pictures and learn to see your world from a whole new perspective using any digital camera you have, even your phone! And best yet, when it’s all over, you’re going to have a living memory of these times you’ll be able to share with your family for generations to come.

I’m creating a 2-week ONLINE photo class where I’ll be showing you and your kids how to take better photos. There will be four live video teachings each week that will be recorded. You can join in live to have a chance to chat with me, or you can watch them at a time that is more convenient for you. There will be photo challenges to put into practice what you’ve learned and a private Facebook group where you can upload your photo challenges for age-appropriate and gentle critiquing to nurture your photography skills. The group will remain open for the rest of the shelter-in order, which means you’ll have more than 2 weeks to watch all the classes and get your photos in for the challenges.

Focus Photography Project is $50 for your WHOLE. FAMILY.
For the price of one meal out with your family, you can all learn how to be better memory keepers for your family, for this time and all your future adventures together. I’m not going to put any age limits on kids because you know your kids’ abilities better than me. I think if you give a kid a camera, you’ll be surprised how they see the world.

We’re starting April 6. To sign up, click the link and fill out the contact form at the bottom of the page or send me a personal message. This is going to be so much fun! I can't wait to see what comes out of this project! 😄❤️

Even though I don’t take wedding clients anymore, I know quite a few people who are getting married this year and are facing some heartbreaking decisions. If you know someone who has to change the date, here are some free downloads that are beautiful and well stated.

As of March 15th, the city of St. Louis has issued an indefinite ban on all gatherings of over 50 people. Similar mandates are being issued all over our country to ensure the health and safety of our communities to prevent the spread of the novel virus, COVID-19. My heart goes out to all those aff.....
