Self-employment stretches you and leaves you tired, yet it shapes you in quiet, meaningful ways. This year had some heavy moments as I balanced life, family, and two businesses. It also carried so much beauty. I had many heartfelt sessions that filled me with gratitude and reminded me why I love this work.

I feel a fresh spark moving into the new year, and I am ready to keep serving this wonderful community. Thank you for trusting me, supporting me, and welcoming me into your stories.

This adorable family closed out my 2025 season. It feels bittersweet, but I'm looking forward to using this down time to learn a new editing software and update my website.

This face! Just the cutest, coolest one-year-old. It was such a joy to capture this milestone for one of the wonderful teachers at the school where I volunteer. I feel so blessed to have such an amazing school in our small town, and I’m deeply grateful for the way this community has supported my small business. Being invited to document these moments for local families is a gift I never take for granted. I look forward to bonding with even more families through my upcoming sessions this year!

Weddings! A rare treat, as I only allow for two bookings per year to ensure each couple receives my full focus and heart. Every booking comes with a complimentary engagement session. I love using this time to connect with the happy couple and help them feel comfortable in front of the lens so their wedding day is stress-free and fun. Before growing families and busy schedules, me and this beautiful mama were just a coupe of wild kids. Getting to photograph her now, as a mom, felt incredibly personal.

Watching her with her kids was something special. The way she listens. The way she steadies them. The way they naturally look to her for comfort and reassurance.

This session felt easy and real. Lots of talking, laughter, and those in-between moments you don’t plan but always hope for.

Thank you for trusting me with your family. Seeing you step so confidently and lovingly into motherhood reminds me how beautifully people grow. Some moments circle back and stay with you forever.

This cool dude just had his 11th session with me, and it really got me reflecting on all the things I'm grateful for.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank all of my clients, especially those who continue to return year after year. Your trust and support mean so much to me, and I’m truly honored to be able to work with such incredible people, many of whom have become friends along the way.

This senior baseball shoot was so fun. We went to his childhood field where he grew up playing, and the real smiles and confidence just came out naturally.

I love doing customized senior sessions. Whether it's their sport, their car, their art, or literally anything they're passionate about, that's what should be in their photos. Way more fun and way more meaningful.

So proud of this guy for heading off to play college ball. Can't wait to see what he does next. Go Class 2026!

Feeling extra thankful this week!

When a family drives an hour to have a session with me, it truly fills my heart. With so many amazing photographers out there, the fact that I'm chosen will never be something I take for granted.

Three kids. Endless energy… that’s my favorite kind of session.

Family photos with little ones don’t need to be perfect, they need to be REAL.

This family was the sweetest. Spinning, wiggling, giggling chaos, with joy woven through it all. My job is simple: keep it fun, move with their energy, and catch those little in-between moments.

I don’t expect perfection. I follow your kids’ lead, take the pressure off, and make sure you can just spend quality time as a family.

To any parent worried their kids are “too much” for photos... they’re not. They’re exactly enough. Chaos and all. These are the days you’ll look back on and smile.

Every photographer's worst nightmare happened to me, and it was 100% my fault.

I pride myself on communication. It’s the foundation of trust, professionalism, and a great client experience. But recently... that wasn't enough.

My clients arrived at our engagement session, glowing, excited, and ready to capture their love story. The problem was... I wasn't there. Somehow, I’d completely scrambled my schedule. That sinking, gut-wrenching feeling when I realized what had happened? I won’t forget it.

I owned it right away. No excuses. I apologized sincerely, we rescheduled immediately, and I went above and beyond to make things right. Because that's what you do when you mess up. You own it, you fix it, and you make sure it doesn't happen again.

Mistakes happen. We're human. But what defines us as professionals is how we respond when things go wrong. As painful as that moment was, I’m genuinely grateful for the lesson… and for the chance to make things right.

Here are those recovery photos, and honestly, they turned out even better than I could’ve hoped.

Let’s talk privacy! I always give my clients the option to keep their photos private, because for some families, privacy isn't just a preference, it's really important. Whether it's for safety, personal reasons, or simply wanting to keep certain moments just for them, I completely understand and honor that. Honestly, being invited into these families' lives is something I never take for granted. The trust they place in me to capture their most precious moments? That's not something I take lightly. It means everything. Some of my absolute favorite sessions are ones you'll never see, and that's okay. I'm just grateful that those families have trusted me enough to keep coming back and to share my name with the people they love. That means more to me than I can really put into words. Respect and integrity matter so much more, than the amount of post likes. With this sweet family, they asked me to keep photos with their children private, and I'm honored to respect that. But they were kind enough to let me share a few of their couple shots, and I'm so glad I get to show you this glimpse of their love.
