Black and White Photography Challenge — Day 7 of 7 🖤🐾

My friend Jess of Bow Wow Canines with one of her awesome pups doing a show in Wentzville last year.

I was challenged by JM Photography to post a Black & White photo every day and tag a new photographer. While the official challenge is supposed to be 30 days, it has been so long since I've done B&W that I'm aiming for 7 days!

Black and White Photography Challenge — Day 6 of 7 🐾

From one of Gateway Sled Dog Club's fun rig practices. It was this gorgeous Husky's first time pulling a rig, and he had the biggest smile on his face! Right after this image was taken, he made a beeline for me and gave me a big ole kiss.

I was challenged by JM Photography to post a Black & White photo every day and tag a new photographer. While the official challenge is supposed to be 30 days, it has been so long since I've done B&W that I'm aiming for 7 days!

Black and White Photography Challenge — Day 5 of 7 🐾

A muddy, rainy day in the sunflowers. Bud the Borzoi decided he was done sitting still for the camera and took off sprinting through the fields!

Black and White Photography Challenge — Day 4 of 7 🐾

A fun memory from the Gateway Sled Dog Club's Spring Fling weight pull competition this past March!

The Alaskan Malamute, Mako, looks like he's about ready to pounce as he mimics his handler's jump while she encourages him through the last 6 inches of the pull.

Black and White Photography Challenge | Day 3 of 7

A memory from last fall at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport, TN. Balancing on a crooked bridge while trying to level my camera—and holding onto my dogs, Freyja and Ragnarok—was an absolute chaotic challenge.

But the real magic of this park is the onsite wolf sanctuary. Every so often, the wolves would start to howl, casting a beautifully eerie atmosphere over the entire mountain hike.

Black and White Photography Challenge day 2/7. From the last big snow we had in January. I love the crazed look on Ragnarok's face as he came barreling towards me. We had so much fun playing in the snow that day!

Black and White Photography Challenge day 1/7. I captured this shot at a NOTRA race last spring. The sprint is over, but the drive isn't as they all converge on the plastic bag lure. Those dogs love to run! I kept having to up my shutter speed to keep up with them.

Mud, downpours, and sunflowers! 🌻🌧️
Here is a sneak peek from last weekend's session in Weldon Spring, MO. Massive thanks to Islehaven Sentinel's 3 Borzoi (Annie, Bud, and The Dude) and Becky Day's Bernese Mountain Dog (Roxy) for being such troopers. Despite the storms and the mud, we captured some truly beautiful moments with these 4 wonderful pups!
