Last night concluded our summer class series!!! A huge thanks and so much gratitude to all the families, friends, and crafty people who signed up for our watercolor and leathercrafting workshops!! Dragon Half Art will return in October with a new set of fun projects. Expect more intermediate level leather classes soon too!!! Lastly a huge shoutout to theARTScentered for sharing their space with us! These classes wouldn’t have been possible or gained the traction they did without their help in promotion and affordability!

New product drop 1/2!!! Dice tumblers!!! In two styles. Will be available in two colors with Stone PLA and some post print sanding; Ashen Concrete and Forest Marble.

These dice tumblers are a two in one item that helps store up to three full TTRPG dice sets and helps you tilt roll them by acting as a portable dice tower. Inside there are randomized bumps to aid in statistically random rolls.

Will be available for sale starting at the Warriors Expo in Woodland, WA at Donald Farm Sat and Sun from 9-6pm!! Psychotic Strength

He’s finished!!! My lil custom baby dragon hatchling wand/tool/brush holder. A new addition hopefully for many markets to our table top display ware. Also my first REAL organic piece that I 3D modeled, printed, primed, and painted!! I need to get better with sanding and trying to fill to remove layer lines next time, but this is just more stuff that I’m learning to do in order to make nice and potentially functional models!!

Some exciting news in the pipeline! Been trying to learn more CAD designing in order to improve on my first dice tube model but also to add other styles into the mix!!!

Customer feedback came in handy resulting in me creating a version that is bigger to hold 3 full dice sets potentially!! It also is thicker and less brittle!! A thread cap to replace the original flush fit caps that weren’t consistently the most desirable to have!! Finally because some clients thought these tubes were dice shakers as well I tried to create a little portable tower you can fit in your pocket! Not only do these store dice but they have randomized bumps on the inner wall to add statistical randomness to a simple tilt back and forth roll to avoid damage to the dice and tube.

Still going to have a dragon scale version! With more scales than ever before so it should feel nice and secure in the hand and even may function somewhat as a pain stim fidget with those pointy dragoney plates!!

Lastly we still have plenty of dice from our lovely partners at HeartBeatDice along with a whole bunch of new pride flag colored, and ashe sprite ones!!!

Playing around in Nomad Sculpt more. Discovered the post processing options for rendering and tried that on my Rajin model!!! Also my need to find/download/create something for custom wands for our markets led to a rabbit hole of my morbid curiosity with Meshy.AI which takes your sketches and turns them into 3D models. Of course this is just another generative AI slop machine that is stealing from hard working artists but I wanted to know what it could come up with anyway. After seeing the result I said F it and 3D modeled the holder from scratch myself. I feel there aren’t many if any excuses to use AI art. I’m a beginner 3D modeler and only sculpted 3 basic things in Nomad so far, but I still spent my weekend modeling this because I want to be original and not dependent on both the AI and 3D printer slop that is out in the vendor space already. I’m better than that!!!!!

Before I became a full time artist I was an environmental conservationist and soil scientist. Well my current side job of about a year now involves helping pre-college students interested in careers in STEM/STEAM. I’m presenting on behalf of Dragon Half Art this Saturday going over the very introductory basics around 3D printing based on my own research and what I’ve been learning with my own printing projects.
