There are evenings when the ocean doesn't demand attention.
It simply invites you to slow down.

"Sanibel Drift" was created on Sanibel Island using Intentional Camera Movement—a technique that transforms a fleeting moment into something more like a feeling than a photograph.

The colors of dusk soften.
The horizon begins to blur.
The water settles into a gentle rhythm.

What remains is less about the scene itself and more about the sense of calm it leaves behind.

Some photographs seem made for metal.

The light feels brighter.
The colors feel richer.
The reflections take on an almost luminous quality.

That’s one of the reasons I love presenting certain pieces as metal prints.

With no glass to reflect the room and no frame competing for attention, the image becomes the focus. The result feels clean, contemporary, and surprisingly immersive.

For a photograph like “Norwegian Morning”, where sunlight dances across the water beneath the Midnight Sun, metal helps preserve the brilliance and depth that first caught my eye.

It’s not just about how the artwork looks.

It’s about how it feels in a space.

✨ In focus: Norwegian Morning

Here’s a question worth sitting with:

What do you actually see when you walk into your own home?

Not what is there…

What still catches your eye?

What makes you pause?

What feels like you?

And what have you stopped noticing simply because it’s been there so long?

I’ve always found it fascinating how a room can quietly evolve over time. Sometimes it’s a new piece of furniture. Sometimes it’s a favorite photograph. Sometimes it’s simply seeing a familiar space with fresh eyes.

“Hidden Stillness” was inspired by one of those quiet moments in nature that asks nothing of you except that you slow down and look a little longer.

Art doesn’t have to shout to change a room.

Sometimes it simply changes how the room feels.

Swipe to see how this piece transforms a space.

What’s one thing in your home that still makes you smile every time you see it?

✨ If you’ve been considering artwork for your home or office, send me a photo of your wall. I’d be happy to show you what it could look like in your space.

Apparently I missed National Wine Day this week… which feels slightly irresponsible considering how many vineyard, grapes, and wine glass photos I’ve taken over the years. 🍷

But maybe wine country is less about the “holiday” and more about the feeling: slowing down, lingering a little longer, and appreciating simple moments done well.

Beautiful landscapes (and wine) have a way of changing our pace, and honestly, that’s part of what inspires my photography too.

Here’s to good views, good company, and remembering to savor things a little more often.

As Ernest Hemingway once said:
“My only regret in life is that I did not drink more wine.”

A little dramatic, Ernest… but understood. 😄

I love this quote by Galileo also:
“Wine is sunlight, held together by water.”

Or this Italian proverb:
“Age and glasses of wine should never be counted.”

Nature really said,“Let’s go all out with this one.” 🦚💙

Grateful for freedoms we often move through so casually.
Grateful for sacrifice.
Grateful for those remembered by someone today. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day weekend always feels like the season quietly changing shape a little.

Longer evenings. Bare feet. Open windows. People heading toward water. ☀️

I think certain artwork carries that same feeling into a space too — light, calm, and easy to live with.

What says “summer” to you first:
🌊 Ocean
🌸 Flowers
🏔️ Mountains
