What is the highest form of love according to God? It’s sacrificial love. The term used is ‘agape’. This term defines Gods immeasurable, perfect, sacrificial, pure love towards humankind. John 15:13 Jesus says “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

Love is so much more powerful through our actions than just saying it with words. It’s by the way you love one another that everyone will know that you are Jesus’ disciples.

Proverbs 16:9 really just fits these pictures. This verse really sums up not just mine but all of our lives, am I right? I mean to think every plan of ours we think will go our way.. we’re going to do this, going to do that.. yet God is the one who determines our steps!

For these pictures it’s like wanting to go to Yellowstone and seeing these hot springs. We have a plan of getting there and seeing them, but we have no clue how we will actually get there until we start moving. Then we start to see a path laid down for us. All we have to do is follow it!

Yet sometimes you want to create your own path. Maybe you get stuck in the mud, maybe you trip over a rock and get hurt. Maybe you tried finding a short cut to see the beautiful view, but you miss all the beauty of getting there.

Moral of this story is to always follows Gods path. He knows you better than you know yourself and He knows what’s best for you at every hour and every minute.

1 John 1:5, God is light, in Him there is no darkness.

I’ve been dealing with a lot of negative things happening in my life the past month and I know God doesn’t do bad and He’s not out to get me, but I know He has control over all things and He allows these bad things to happen.

I think I’m finally understanding that 1. These bad things are happening because we live in an unjust and unfair world because of our free will consequences. But also 2. Sometimes God allows bad things to happen to us so we can draw closer to Him. (Drawing this from Romans 8:28)

Just my thoughts for today. Pray that God guides me in every situation. Pray Psalm 25:4-5 over me. Thanks:)
