I don’t really need another DRZ, but “resistance is futile”!!!!

In the olden days, people used to say “The Blue ones are faster” on the Thumpertalk.com forum.

This gem is available near me and has barely over 1000 miles on it. Unlike most used ones on the market, this one still has all the factory wiring for the tail lights and turn signals intact, and no hack job on the side stand safety switch wiring either. It also still has the stock exhaust. I’m not a fan of any of the loud aftermarket exhausts.

Should I buy it and do a full build series on it? Like a “budget build” for BDRs, etc. ?

I've found the holy grail in foot pegs for the DR-Z4S, and most other dual sport and ADV motorcycles.

The foot pegs are from a US based company, located in Bend, OR, Motion Factory Racing.

I installed the smaller TRAIL model on my KTM 450 EXC-F and the Adventure model on my DR-Z4S.

Both models are 65mm wide (front to back dimension). The Adventure model are quite a bit bigger (longer) than the Trail model.
The Trail model is 100mm long (Silver)
The Adventure model is 115mm long (Black)

They mount on a spindle, allowing the foot peg platform to have a slight rotational effect using a skateboard bushing.

The photos I've added show the Trail model (silver) on my KTM and the Adventure model (Black) on my DR-Z4S.

Since my DR-Z4S is broke down and at the dealer for a leaking fork seal, I figured I’d do a small upgrade to the Trail 125 today: Milk crate mod!

I just returned from a 2.5 week trip with two of these three bikes. It started with the Dirtyface Dual Sport event, then the Touratech Rally, then a week of riding on my own, and with a few friends. They all need a bath. See if you you can spot the issue with my DR-Z4S. Video coming soon.

Heading out to the Dirtyface Dualsport event near Plain, WA, then to the Touratech ADV rally next week. This is the maiden voyage with this trailer as a motorcycle hauler with the truck and camper. How many bikes does one person need? Enough to fill the trailer.

There's a dual sport event coming up in June, in Washington State.
It's the only dual sport event in WA.
I've been doing it since 1997 and will be there again this year.
