Who the hell do I think I am?
That's the underlying question your mind is processing when you're experiencing imposter syndrome.
When you're stepping into your potential and your power, your current identity and your future identity collide.
The 2 dont fit cohesively, causing a strain within you...... imposter syndrome
So which one wins?
The one you choose!
The one you take action on.
Even doing nothing requires a choice.
But until you decide to shed your current/past identity and step into the one youve been working so hard for, you'll continue to feel like an imposter in your own life
But you only know yourself in this current version of you...
Who will this new person be? Will you have to start over in finding yourself?
The quick answer is idk.
But my heart answer is this...
The version of you OWNING your path and having the courage to push toward who you WANT to be, will learn so much more, be so much more fulfilled and will have more peace than the one who watches their dreams and aspirations float by, wishing they had just one more chance to do it all differently.
I let imposter syndrome delay my journey in public speaking, even though that was a major part of my goals over the years.
One day I decided that the risk of NOT being brave enough was scarier than the idea of doing it and messing up and figuring out.
The purpose that I get to serve when speaking against trafficking and helping to raise funds and educate, is far greater than the comfort of staying in my box.
I want to challenge you to think of something in your life thatyou haven't pursued out of fear or lack of belief in yourself
Maybe its a passion you'd like to pick up again
Maybe its something youve never tried before but always dreamed of
Maybe its exploring yourself and learning to feel more ok and at peace with who you are at this very moment in life.
Be honest with yourself.
This is your gentle reminder that you can do far more than you give yourself credit for
