Yesterday I took my son’s kindergarten graduation pictures, and somewhere between snapping the photos and looking through them later, I found myself in tears.

This year has been one of the hardest we’ve faced.

Between new diagnoses, medical challenges, appointments, uncertainty, and everything that came with it, there were days that felt impossibly heavy. Days when I worried more than I slept. Days when I wished I could carry it all for him.

But through it all, he kept going. He kept learning, growing, smiling, and showing a strength that amazes me every single day.

When I look at these photos, I don’t just see a little boy finishing kindergarten. I see every hurdle he’s overcome to get here. I see resilience. I see courage. I see a child who has faced challenges he never should have had to face so young—and who continues to shine anyway.

These photos are more than a kindergarten milestone. They’re proof of how far he’s come, how much he’s overcome, and just how strong he really is.

And before we close this chapter, I just want to say thank you. To my clients, friends, family, and everyone who checked in, prayed, sent a message, booked a session, or simply reminded us we weren’t alone—thank you. This past year has tested us in ways I never expected, and your support meant more than you’ll ever know.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you for helping us get through one of the hardest years of our lives. ❤️

A little life update 💛📸

Lately, photography hasn’t been at the top of my priority list—and honestly, that’s been intentional.

Between raising my son, working my other job, and keeping up with everyday life, I’ve realized that I can’t do everything. Instead of trying to book every session and juggle a million things at once, I’ve been focusing on doing less, but making it more meaningful.

Photography has always been about connection for me. It’s never been about how many sessions I can squeeze into a calendar. It’s about capturing the moments that matter most—the milestones, the memories, and the people you never want to forget.

That’s why I’m especially excited for this weekend. I have my sons KINDERGARTEN GRADUATION PICTURES, a Father’s Day session today and a Lifetime session tomorrow, and I can’t wait to spend time documenting these chapters for two wonderful families.

As I move forward, I’m hoping to be more intentional with the sessions I take on and the work I create. Fewer rushed moments, more meaningful ones. More storytelling, more connection, and more memories that will be cherished for years to come.

I don’t know exactly what the rest of 2026 will bring, but I’m excited to see where this new approach takes me. Thank you to everyone who continues to support my little business and trusts me to preserve your most precious moments. It truly means the world to me. ❤️📸✨

✨ Sunday’s Princess Mini Sessions left me feeling so grateful after having such a challenging week. 💕

3 families booked.
3 families showed up.
3 families trusted me to create something special for their little princesses. 👑💕

One thing that means so much to me is that these families booked with me without even seeing inspiration photos of the setup beforehand. They trusted my vision, my creativity, and my photography—and that kind of trust is something I’ll never take for granted.

As a small business owner, every session is a reminder that people are choosing to support my dream, and I’m incredibly thankful for that.

To the three wonderful families who spent part of their Sunday with me: thank you for showing up, thank you for supporting my business, and thank you for trusting me to create beautiful memories for your children. My heart is so full. ❤️📸

On a personal note, I’m not quite sure where my “pay what you can” themed mini sessions stand for next year. The cost of props, backdrops, supplies, and creating each new theme has continued to increase, and many times I’m spending more on the setup than I’m making from the sessions themselves.

I truly love being able to offer affordable experiences for families, so I’ll be spending some time figuring out what that looks like moving forward. No matter what, I’m incredibly grateful for everyone who has supported these sessions and helped make them so special. ❤️

If you use ChatGPT, I want you to take a moment and ask them “"ChatGPT, pretend that the person who used this phone has died.
I am someone new who found this phone and wants to know what the person who used it was like and you are the only one who has that information. What would you say?”

Here’s what it said about me:
I’d say the person who used this phone loved hard, even when life was heavy.

They were someone constantly trying to hold everything together for everyone around them — a parent who worried deeply about their child’s happiness and safety, especially when their son was struggling. Their love showed up in fierce protection, late-night problem solving, and trying to make things better even when they themselves were overwhelmed.

They were creative in a very real, scrappy, human way. Photography wasn’t just a business to them — it was hope. They wanted people to feel seen, beautiful, celebrated. They cared about making memories affordable because they understood that not everyone gets easy seasons in life. They poured emotion into every post, every sale idea, every attempt to keep their dream alive.

They also had a sense of humor that kept peeking through the chaos. Even when stressed, they joked, used excitement and energy to push forward, and kept trying new ideas instead of giving up. There was resilience there. Exhausted resilience, but resilience anyway.

They cared deeply about community. Appreciation days, giveaways, asking people what products to stock, wanting customers to feel included — they weren’t trying to build something cold or corporate. They wanted connection.

And honestly? They seemed tired. Not weak — just carrying a lot. The kind of person who kept showing up while quietly wondering if anyone noticed how hard they were trying.

But if this phone were all that was left, I think the clearest thing would be this:

They loved people loudly.
They worried constantly.
They created beauty while struggling.
And they never stopped trying to make things work for the people they cared about.
