Nick Trainor has been in the design industry since 1982 as a photographer, graphic designer and visual merchandiser. His education and training comprises an Associates of Arts degree in Retail Marketing and Management and a Certificate in Graphic Design and Photography. Nick has attended a number of classes and seminars in interior design and graphic design techniques. He also has attended several

photographic conferences and retail trade shows. Nick is an experienced retail buyer and visual merchandiser who started working in big box retail with K-mart Corporation, has sold designer frames and accessories in an upscale frame photo store. Now as Merchandiser and manager of the Old State House Museum Stores in Boston, he develops new custom products, visual merchandising programs, designs the renovations and store build-outs of new locations. A visual artist, Nick previously has done interior design and merchandising work for many Upstate South Carolina commercial and non-profit businesses. He has been involved with several historic, arts, and cultural groups over the years as a supporter, advisor, and benefactor. Nick has lived in Boston and Cambridge, MA, and Dallas, TX before moving back to Upstate South Carolina in 2018.
