These swallows move! They bank and swoop erratically and are a challenge to shoot in flight. So when I get a shot like this I get a bit giddy!

Milky Way over Lake Huron.

Sometimes nature just leaves you in awe. Being able to get a picture of the Milky Way over the grand Lake Huron is such a cool honor. The amazing view, the way the stars cluster, it all just makes you realize we are just a small part of such a great big universe. Get outside and enjoy our wonderful world.

Chasing first light along the shores of Lake Huron. 🌅🌊

Some mornings don’t need words—just the sound of waves rolling onto the beach, the cool breeze off the water, and a sky painted in layers of gold, blue, and fire. As the sun prepared to rise, the horizon came alive with color, reminding me why early mornings are always worth it.

Gliding over the water! This tree swallow was zipping across the water searching for insects for a snack and veering and banking like he was running from the authorities. Very tough to capture, but I was pleased with this capture as I caught him mid bank, and his reflection in the water as well. His coloring stands out with the sun shining on him as well. Fast little bu**er.

📸 Capturing the magic hidden in the garden, one bloom at a time.

Every flower tells a story, and every pollinator plays a part. Together, they create a masterpiece that lasts only for a moment, making it all the more special to witness.
This peony was just one of thousands at the Nichols Arboretum, the largest peony garden in the US. Finding the bee on this vibrant bloom was the icing on the cake. It was a beautiful day and the flowers were the stars of the show.
