It’s been SOOO busy these past few weeks, but I had to take a moment to wish these two a very happy anniversary! 🤍💍

Their anniversary was this past Monday, and it’s so special knowing I’ll be capturing his sister’s wedding later this summer. Moments like these make my heart so full. Being trusted to document multiple chapters of a family’s story is something I’ll never take for granted.

I swear there’s not quite a better feeling than hearing members of the bridal party say, “Man, I wish we had you for our wedding!”

I’ve been told this the past three weekends, and every single time it reminds me exactly why I love what I do.

Capturing your wedding day is about so much more than just showing up with a camera. I’m the one fixing your dress before you walk down the aisle. I’m the one adjusting your tie, straightening your necklace, tucking away flyaways, and making sure every little detail is exactly where it should be. I’m the one who notices the things you don’t have time to see because you should be focused on soaking in every moment of your day.

If something doesn’t look quite right, I’m going to fix it. If a family portrait needs adjusting, I’m going to make sure everyone is where they need to be. Those tiny details may seem small in the moment, but they make all the difference in the images you’ll cherish forever.

To those who have thanked me these past few weekends for being “nit-picky” with family portraits, timelines, details, and everything in between….. THANK YOU. Thank you for noticing the care, intention, and heart I pour into every wedding day.

Not every session has to be perfectly posed or carefully scripted. 🤍

I recently had the honor of spending an evening with the Parker family, documenting something beautifully ordinary; their bath time and bedtime routine before tucking their sweet little ones in for the night.

These are the moments that matter. The giggles in the tub, the bedtime snuggles, the stories, the kisses goodnight. The real, raw, authentic moments that make up everyday life.

It’s such a privilege to preserve these memories because one day, years from now, these little moments will be the ones you miss the most. The ones that instantly bring tears to your eyes and warmth to your heart.

Another post very well may come later since they’re keeping baby’s name a secret, but trust me when I say there are SO many stunning photographs in their maternity gallery! Being trusted to document these memories and preserve them for years to come is such an incredible honor.

Something about family sessions will forever have my heart. What may feel like “chaos” in the moment is truly the rawest, purest form of love radiating throughout your family. The laughter, the movement, the in-between moments, the little hands reaching for mom and dad, it’s all so beautifully real.

Capturing those authentic moments will always mean so much to me because one day, these are the memories you’ll look back on when the babies are grown and the years have passed by far too quickly. There is something so emotional and beautiful about freezing this season of life forever.
