Pops of color, threads of culture, and love that refuses to blend in. ❤️

Back in February, my dear friend Keegan (Keegan Perry) and I planned a trip to Philadelphia to see dodie in concert, but of course we had to do some visiting while we were there- and on the list was visiting Philadelphia’s Magic Gardens Philadelphia's Magic Gardens.

Honestly, magical is a great way to describe this experience. This art environment is absolutely beautiful, and has an energy that invites people from all backgrounds to unapologetically find community here - a message that I keep very close to my heart.

I had mentioned online that I’d be visiting, and Yasmine and Himadri reached out - and I am so incredibly grateful that the universe pushed us together. These two were so willing to be open with me and just so, so kind!!

We wandered the gardens, talked about their love story, admired the semi-permanent bleps their beloved pups tend to have, and they shared about their PHENOMENAL work as founders of Killjoy Institute (formerly Killjoy Reads) (seriously go check them out!! Join in creating a liberated world!!).

Everything just felt like it was meant to happen here. Thank you to Himadri and Yasmine for all you shared with us- I hope to see you the next time I visit!! 🥹

Erin + Sam // 08.01.26

Their wedding truly embodied “celebrating love from every corner of your life.”

From family who have been so proud to see their little ones find their way in this world, to childhood friendships as far back as preschool, to deep connections that maybe wandered in unexpectedly more recently in life, each person who was present this weekend was wholeheartedly supportive and expressed so much joy for these two.

The love I got to witness and moments we got to capture were so… Selfless. Fun. Erin and Sam and everyone who surrounded them just wanted to have a great time and be fully present with each other in this celebration.

And this communal love just pours over into the love that Erin and Sam have for one another. Gosh, the laughter and love and radiant joy that they share is just infectious, and they know each other so well.

One of my favorite examples of this was in the mere moments before their first look.

“Hmm.. I think her dress has some movement - it’s flowy. There are probably thin straps… and it’s not plain. There’s got to be some sort of pattern!”

Sam was spot on. And Erin truly looked stunning as she invited him to turn around to see.

A huge congratulations to the Twinings. Thank you for letting us be there with you on such a beautiful day. I just know your future is full of light. ❤️

Ben + Gavin + spring at the Arnold Arboretum 🌾

I’ve known Ben all my life, and we’ve shared many an interest in books and movies and shows and nerdy interests as we navigated our way through school, up until graduating high school in 2018. It was one of those friendships you knew was special, but maybe didn’t realize you missed as much as you did until the distance was already in place.

We reunited this weekend after 8 years apart (an insane amount of time to think about), and it was crazy to realize how we are literally new people, and yet some things never change. I missed it. ♡ Picking right back up with the latest updates in our shows, while making space for the new things, like meeting his wonderful partner Gavin.

Gavin is such a sweetie, and so similar to my partner Logan who joined us too! They both started a little on the quiet side as me and Ben yapped, but as we got to know one another, it was so lovely to see him open up and learn more about his interests (crazy talented baker) and how connected he is with his family. Gavin is also half Filipino! My mind was blown learning that, because it’s not often you meet someone who might be in the same boat as you with your heritage.

Learning about how Ben and Gavin’s paths crossed was so incredibly sweet, and I feel like these photos truly showcase the love that they share with one another, and how excited they are to be building a life together.

I’m eternally grateful for the pebbles and pathways that have led me to so many great people over the course of a lifetime, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they pave the way for new pebbles and pathways of connection (and reconnection). ❤️
