I’m officially headed out for a little vacation! ✈️☀️

Some couples just make photographing them feel easy.

A little wandering through the woods.
A little laughter.
A few quiet moments where they forgot I was even there.

Their engagement session at Timber Rock Lodge in Oneida, Tennessee, gave us the most beautiful mix of trees, water, rocky cliffs and that gorgeous East Tennessee landscape.

But my favorite photographs are always the ones in between—the way they look at each other, the way they naturally reach for one another, the little moments that don’t need direction.

And now February doesn’t seem so far away. 🤍

This session has been living in my head for weeks. 🤎

When I started planning this year’s Senior Ambassador sessions, I knew I wanted to create something that felt different. Something nostalgic, a bit of vintage and retro mixed in.

And then came the vintage camper. ✨ Thank you Vintage Bleu By Brittany

The planning was in the details — the old suitcases, the colorful blanket, the vintage record player, the little Fuji instant camera, the styling, the location, the light… all the pieces that helped bring the vision in my head to life.

But the best part of any styled session isn’t the props.

It’s the people.

These girls showed up, trusted my vision, laughed, played, danced, and made the whole thing feel effortless. Watching their personalities come through behind my camera is exactly why I love what I do. They each showed up and gave a bit of their own spin on this session.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this session happen — the families who trusted me with their girls, everyone who helped with styling and props, and especially my amazing hubby John Frye for showing up and helping with so much of the behind the scenes.

So much thought goes into creating these sessions behind the scenes, and I’m incredibly grateful for every person who helps bring the ideas in my head into real life.

This is more than a senior session.

It’s a little piece of their senior year they’ll get to look back on someday and remember exactly who they were, who they were with, and how this season of their lives felt.

And honestly?

That’s the whole point. 🤎📷

🍂 It FINALLY FEELS LIKE SWEATER WEATHER. AND THESE SPOTS WON’T LAST. 🍂

The weather finally feels like fall today—the cooler air, the crispness, even that unmistakable fall smell. And honestly? I’m ready for it. 🤎

I still have a few spots open for Fall at the Dreamy Greenhouse/Glasshouse on October 25th in Liberty Bleating Acres Farm.

This is one day only, and once these remaining spots are filled, that’s it for this season.

Aria was pure sweetness this evening.

These are the photographs I love most — the ones that don’t need a big production. Just a beautiful place, good light, and a little bit of childhood unfolding in front of my camera.

Because someday, these ordinary evenings will be the memories you look back on.

A few October openings just became available. 🤎

October is already shaping up to be a busy month, but I have a handful of spots open October 2–3 for anyone who has been thinking about scheduling a session.

Family.
Couples.
Seniors.
Branding.
Just because.

Behind the scenes of last night’s Senior Session. ✨

Sometimes you just have to do the thing.

Even when you’re nervous.
Even when you’re not completely sure how it’s all going to come together.
Even when you’ve imagined something in your head and you have no idea if the reality will match it.

This session was WEEKS in the making.

Imagining the concept. Collecting props. Coordinating and communicating with six Seniors and their moms. Looking at outfits right down to the shoes, jewelry and sunglasses. Pulling together all the little details.

And then there was the beautiful vintage camper I was lucky enough to borrow from . 💙

Was everything perfect?

Absolutely not.

But honestly, that’s not really the point for me.

It’s more than the perfect shot.

Sometimes it’s the doing.

It’s the action of creating something you’ve imagined.
It’s figuring things out as you go.
It’s the excitement of watching all those little pieces come together.
It’s the laughter, the unexpected moments, and having FUN with my Seniors.

That creative process is one of my favorite parts of what I do.

So thank you to all of my Seniors and their moms for trusting me and jumping into this crazy idea with me. 🤍

And a very special thank you to my hubby, 🍟, for helping with setup AND capturing some of this behind-the-scenes footage. I couldn’t do it without you!

And my little reminder to you today:

Step into your creativity.
Try the thing.
Make the thing.
Even if you’re nervous.
Even if you’re not sure how it will turn out.

Keep showing up.

Saturday was a beautiful morning for the Pulaski KY Habitat for Humanity Race!! Perfect weather, a great crowd, and over 150 participants showing up to support such a wonderful mission.

I was honored to be there Saturday capturing all the fun, the smiles, the cheers, and finish-line moments!
