De-evolution. The band’s namesake. Opening for Billy Idol at Vets United Home Loans Amp, Devo set the pace early capturing the crowd with loud cheers once hits like “Whip It” and “Uncontrollable Urge” blasted.

Pure stage showmanship, awesome theatrics, hilarious and insane visuals… Devo is a real party. And yes, flower pot hat and all which were tossed to the crowd and worn by event staff.

And if you say you can only name one Devo song, you’re lying.

The solo dancer. The rebel yeller.

Yet another show where the threat of storms almost shut things down just minutes before start. Flashes of lightning just over the trees, rumbles of thunder, puddles everywhere from rain that had just rolled through; but it clearly wasn’t a storm…

It was Billy Idol arriving to party with a packed-out crowd at the Vets United Home Loans Amp in Virginia Beach to mark another stop along his “It’s a Nice Day to… Tour Again!” tour.

From the iconic lip snarl to talking with the audience, giving back-story to some of his tracks, Idol transported the amphitheater back to the 80s playing hit after hit including “Rebel Yell,” “Dancing With Myself,” and of course, “White Wedding.”

The wizard guitar work from Steve Stevens, the awesome lighting and stage display, the full sound from the backing vocals… the crowd rocked and danced all night with Idol and company. 🤘🏼

I stumbled upon this band during a Spotify shuffle and haven’t been able to turn them off since! This band I would happily see play on their own, but seeing them open for Third Eye Blind made for a perfect night of music and dance

Rain was an understatement for this show. Just before Third Eye Blind took to the Wind Creek Steel Stage at Musikfest, the skies opened with biblical rain. But that didn’t stop the party.

Frontman Stephan Jenkins and Third Eye Blind lead the night from start to finish in the pouring rain with a great run of their catalogue making for a great night for an entire crowd to sing along. The rain didn’t dampen the mood, it only made the show better.

The energy, lights, and rain made the show look like a music video performance. The crowd did not miss a step and stayed locked for the entire show, soaked and all.

“I’m taking the next 10 days off in Costa Rica to finish this song writing for a new album. And when it’s done, we’ll be back to play for hours,” Stephan Jenkins announces to an already excited crowd in Bethlehem, PA.
