I experienced a photographer’s worst nightmare a few days ago. And… I’ll tell you what, it’s hard to put into words how appreciative I am of the clients I have and how understanding they are. This nightmare is one I thought that I did everything I could to prevent. My laptop, the one I upgraded to, and just bought less than a year ago, just went black. I tried everything I could to turn it back on without luck. I not only feared how long it would take to get it fixed or replaced, but what would happen to all of the photos that are stored on it. Thankfully, Apple is coming to my rescue and the limited warranty still applies 😮💨 Even more relieving, I was able to back up my files on my external hard drive in the store so that everyone’s photos are saved 🙌🏼 Unfortunately, it’s going to take quite a few days to get it repaired, so the sessions I’ve worked on in the last week have to wait a little longer than usual to get their photos back…This is where my amazing clients come in. My contract says that my turnaround time is two weeks or less, but I truly like to get photos out in less than a week. Most often, just a few days (and sometimes, next day). So, you can imagine the tremendous anxiety I have been feeling with sessions backing up since my last post and not being able to work on any of it. My clients have been nothing but understanding, forgiving, and they have been the ones comforting me while I am apologizing to them for the delay. This is me just wanting to highlight how grateful I am, and to thank all of you for being so gracious to me! I care so much about your photos, as if they are mine. I hope this also serves as an example that I will always do what it takes to protect your photos, your time, your memories, and I will always be transparent with you🤍
