My name is Katy, I am 29-years-old, and I live in Skiatook, Oklahoma with my incredible husband, Austin, and our dog (Ellie) and 3 cats (Mercy, Avery, and Casey). Aside from photography (obviously), I love animals, coffee, cooking, rain, Jesus, reading, and painting. I don't paint much, but when I do, I enjoy it! My husband is my best friend. We'll be together for 5 years in March of 2023, and mar

ried 4 years in November 2023. We met in a Panera Bread parking lot. I enjoy saying that because it sounds much weirder than it actually was. We were meeting some people for lunch and were introduced there. During lunch, we randomly decided to go to the zoo, play games, and then went to dinner with friends that evening. Our first date was 5 days later. We ended up spending a good 8 hours or so together. We dated an entire 2 weeks before becoming "official", and a little over a year later, we were engaged! I don't paint much, but when I do, I enjoy it!

Some random facts about me are:
-When I say that "I love coffee", I'm not joking. Especially iced coffee. Does that make me "basic"? But I don't care.
-I was homeschooled. As was my husband.
-I love Pit Bulls/Bully Breeds. They hold a special place in my heart. Ellie is an American Pit Bull Terrier.
-Some of my favorite tv shows are New Girl, Bones, Friends, Brooklyn-99, and Modern Family.
-My favorite musicians right now are Selena Gomez, AJR, and Imagine Dragons.
-I love photographing all kinds of things, but my favorite are couples, babies, and flowers.
-My goal is to capture the things and people I photograph as authentically as possible. I love natural lighting and use very minimal filters! Typically the only filters I use are black-and-white. Fireworks display at the City of Skiatook's Municipal Arport.

Unfortunately, things went sideways (literally) and some exploded very near to/on the ground, resulting in a cancellation in the rest of the show. Thank the Lord, nobody was hurt.

A few of these are blurry, but I kinda dig it!

I still need to post the photos from the session I had here earlier this month (😅) but look how cute this set up is! This property is gorgeous and the owner, Breanne, is SO sweet. She walked me around the property herself before my couple arrived, and she shared with me their vision for upcoming projects and set-ups. Also, the package options are very reasonably priced. Twister is probably my favorite movie of all time. I watch it multiple times per year, every year and I’ve loved it since I was little. It never gets old to me! I wish we had been able to stay longer, and that we would’ve gotten there earlier. Both were my own fault, though 😆

Unfortunately I did not get any photos of the TIV. By the time the crowd around it died down, I wasn’t handling the sun well so we made the decision to head home. So you’ll earn bonus points if you’ve got any you’re willing to show me! I also didn’t get to make it very far into the museum but getting to see all of the chaser vehicles was pretty cool 🚗🚙🚨
