Another example of right place right time..

I was leaving the harbor in my skiff at 4 am to go fish for salmon. I took a look behind me and saw the moon cresting over the mountains. I slowed down, took my camera out and tried to be steady for a shot.

Not too bad for being hand held in a moving boat!

Out for a walk around the (former) Sheldon Jackson collage campus with my family today.

About the worst lighting for photos you could ask for 😅 but the contrast between the grass, buildings and grey sky made for some neat shots.

I’ll miss showing up to a place thinking I’d have it all to myself, only to find Dan set up, camera in hand, chasing the same light. I’ll miss standing there, shivering long after the light is gone, swapping stories and ideas about all the wild, faraway places we’d been—and the ones we dreamed of going.
