I came to Wyoming with cameras, lenses, and a suitcase full of expectations.

What I found was something much simpler.

Golden leaves dancing in the wind.
The sound of hooves through tall grass.
A herd of horses appearing from the trees like a scene from a dream.

Moments like this are why I pick up a camera.

There is something special about a first horse love. The lessons, the trust, the memories. And then there are the horses who arrive unexpectedly and become exactly what your heart needed. Watching Princess Zena and Kait together, it’s hard to imagine they were ever meant to find anyone else. Some stories are simply written in hoofbeats and heartbeats.

A sneak peek at a graduating senior and the story this year has written.

The ribbons, trophies, and hard earned moments tell only part of it. Behind every award is an early morning, a difficult ride, a lesson learned, and the quiet determination to keep showing up even when the road felt uncertain.

What a roller coaster of a season it has been, with the proof standing proudly there. The growth, grit, and grace woven into this year are something no ribbon could ever fully capture.

Here’s to the seniors who leave the arena stronger than they entered it. 🖤🐴

Wiley has always been more than my horse.
He is my muse, my grounding force, and the quiet reminder that horses carry both strength and grace in every line they leave behind.

As my work has evolved, so has the heart behind Pixels by Pixley Photography.

This new logo reflects more than a visual rebrand. It represents the deeper direction of my artistry: creating refined, emotionally driven imagery that preserves the connection between horse and human as lasting legacy pieces.

The mirrored horses symbolize partnership, trust, and the unspoken bond that exists between heart and horse. Inspired by Wiley, the design honors the beauty, movement, and soul that first drew me to equine storytelling.

My goal has never simply been to take photographs.

It is to curate timeless memories with intention, artistry, and emotion — preserving your story in a way that feels as meaningful decades from now as it does today.

Because these moments are never just images. They are part of your legacy.

There’s something about the quiet strength of this moment that lingers.

Out on the rolling hills of Powderhorn Ranch, surrounded by women who see the world through a lens and a horse’s heart, time felt slower, steadier. The kind of stillness that only exists when horse and rider move as one, silhouetted against a sky that refuses to be ignored.

This image was captured during the Equine Photographers Network Women’s Retreat, and it holds more than just a scene. It holds connection. Story. Respect for the land, the light, and the partnership between horse and human.

Out here, you don’t rush the shot.
You feel it. You wait for it. And when it arrives… you know.

There’s something about a horse in the woods that feels like stepping into a story…

Poland gave me that moment.

No arena.
No noise.
Just quiet breath, shifting light, and a presence that felt both wild and deeply aware.

This horse didn’t pose… he existed. And I simply met him there, camera in hand, trying to be still enough to witness it.

It reminded me why I chase light across places like this. Not just for the image… but for the feeling you can’t quite explain.

The kind that lingers long after you’ve left the forest.

✨ Chasing the quiet. Finding the magic.

There are images that stay with you long before you ever hold a camera.

As a young girl, I was captivated by the way C.W. Anderson brought Misty of Chincoteague to life… wind in her mane, sand beneath her hooves, freedom stretched wide across the page. I remember wondering what it would feel like to stand in a place like that and to see it for myself.

I made it to Chincoteague, but that moment, that image, remained just out of reach.
And then… unexpectedly… it found me. Not on the shores of Virginia, but in the Polish Desert. Half a world away, and somehow exactly where it needed to be.

Sometimes the dreams we carry don’t disappear. They just wait for the right horizon to meet us.

Love Lives Here 🌹
Tails of the World – West Virginia

The dogs are real.Their stories are real.Their love is real.
The rose covered arch?
That is my Valentine.

Each portrait in this series is a composite — a creative way to place every dog beneath the same arch of roses and scattered petals. A way to visually say thank you. A way to celebrate them equally. A way to honor the love that surrounds them.

Pepper 🖤🌹Love Lives Here – Tails of the World, West Virginia
Under the arch, every dog is chosen.

Some dogs comfort quietly. Some dogs work the fields. Some dogs heal broken hearts. Pepper brings the smiles.

A labradoodle with soft curls and an even softer heart, he belongs to two moms who adore him. His joy is steady. His presence is easy. His tail seems to carry its own rhythm.

And sometimes, he goes to work. At the dental office, Pepper becomes more than a companion. He becomes a welcome committee. A gentle distraction. A reminder to breathe. Nervous patients soften when he leans in. Smiles appear where there were none moments before.

He does not know he is helping. He simply knows he loves. Under this arch of roses, Pepper stands as happiness made tangible — proof that healing does not only happen in exam rooms or on farms or on trails.

Sometimes it happens in waiting rooms.

Chosen for laughter. Chosen for comfort. Chosen for love shared freely.

There is something sacred about preserving the space where heart and soul meet. These are not just portraits. They are living love stories — captured so they are never forgotten.
