A little wildlife bonus on the way to Toadstool Geological Park last week. This mule deer buck, with his antlers covered in velvet, was grazing in the Oglala National Grassland. The early evening light was beautiful, and he seemed just as curious about us as we were about him.

Pray for Fort Robinson, Crawford, and the surrounding area as crews continue to battle the South Fork Fire in northwest Nebraska.

I took this photo just last week while camping at Fort Robinson State Park. It's hard to see such a beautiful and historic place threatened by wildfire. My heart goes out to everyone affected, including residents, visitors, firefighters, first responders, and all those working to protect the area.

Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. 🙏
