✨📸 CLIENT FEATURE | FROM WAITING FOR BABY TO WATCHING HER GROW 📸✨

This week’s Client Feature is extra sweet because I’ve had the privilege of capturing two completely different chapters for this family. 🤍

When I asked Mama which session was her favorite, she couldn’t choose between their maternity session and baby girl’s first birthday—and I can completely understand why. 🥹

About their maternity session, she said:

“My favorite part was capturing those moments of simplicity and the quiet love James and I shared before bringing our beautiful baby girl into the world.” 🤍

And then came Ruby. 🎀

Fast-forward to her first birthday, and those quiet moments of waiting turned into a session filled with the personality of the little girl they had been waiting to meet.

Mama said her favorite part was “seeing her personality in those photos just shining through.” ✨

And THAT is one of my favorite things about photography.

One day, I’m capturing you while you’re dreaming about who your baby will become… and before you know it, I’m photographing that same little baby with a personality all her own. 🥹

✨📸 CLIENT FEATURE | RED, WHITE & FAMILY MEMORIES 🇺🇸❤️

This week’s Client Feature comes from a sweet 4th of July family session celebrating America’s 250th and, even more importantly, giving this family some updated photos together. 🇺🇸✨

When I asked Mama what her favorite part of the session was, she said it was “the pictures with all three of us and how comfortable my 3-year-old was with you.” 🥹🤍

That means SO much to me.

Little ones don’t always want to sit still, smile on command, or do exactly what we have planned—and they shouldn’t have to! I want them to feel comfortable enough to play, explore, laugh and just be themselves while we capture the real moments in between. 📸

No huge milestone needed. Sometimes the reason for taking the pictures is simply…

“This is our family right now, and I want to remember it.” 🥹

Those ordinary seasons become some of the photographs we treasure the most.

✨📸 CLIENT FEATURE | A LITTLE LOVE IS ON THE WAY 📸✨

This week’s Capturing Grace Client Feature is all about one very exciting question… pink or blue?! 💗💙

This sweet family came to me to capture their gender reveal and celebrate the newest little love being added to their family. 🥹

When I asked Mama what her favorite part of the session was, her answer was simple:

🎨 “Big sister painting.”

And I LOVE that. 🤍

Because sometimes it’s the little moments that end up meaning the most—the excitement, the messy hands, the anticipation, and getting to watch your little one be part of welcoming their new baby sibling.

Mama shared that this season is especially important to her because their family is growing by one more precious baby. 🤍

These are the moments that feel so big while you’re living them…and somehow pass way too quickly.

I’m so thankful I got to capture a little piece of this family’s story as they wait to meet their newest addition. 💗💙

✨📸 CLIENT FEATURE | TWO YEARS OF SWEET MEMORIES 📸✨

For our very first Capturing Grace Client Feature, we’re celebrating a pretty special little guy turning TWO! 🎉💙

His mama wanted this session to freeze exactly who he is in this season—the sweet smile, the BIG personality, the little quirks, and yes… all that two-year-old energy! 😂

When I asked Mama what her favorite part of their session was, her answer meant more to me than she probably realizes. 🤍

She shared that she appreciated the patience and grace given to their VERY active little boy throughout the session. Instead of expecting him to sit perfectly and pose, we let him be little, have fun, and most importantly… be himself.

And THAT is what I want Capturing Grace to be. 🥹📸

Because someday, these pictures won’t just remind his family what he looked like at two.

They’ll remind them what two felt like. ❤️

The expressions. The mannerisms. The craziness. The belly laughs. The nonstop energy. All those tiny pieces of childhood that feel ordinary right now but become priceless before we even realize they’re gone.

His mama said it perfectly:

“It feels like we blinked and our little boy went from a baby to a two-year-old with his own big personality, little quirks, and so much energy.” 🥹

THIS is why I love what I do.

Not perfect poses.
Not perfectly behaved kiddos.
Just your babies exactly as they are in the season they’re in. 🤍

The sweetest little chapter before their family grows by one. 🩷

Tiny hands on Mama’s belly, quiet moments between Mom and Dad, and one very special big sister waiting to meet her new best friend. 🎀

So thankful I got to freeze a little piece of this season for them. 🤍
