Well I just wanted to wish everyone a happy and thankful independence day. I did the American thing and after sundown and the local fireworks had started, I took two pistols outside and popped off a few rounds into the ground. Who is gonna know?

I gotta say, baseball and softball are my two favorite sports to photograph. Mostly because I've watched so many games, I kinda know where the action might be in the next play. Here are some shots of last evening's game between the Sebastian River High School Sharks and Jupiter's Warriors at the Shark's home field. There is a mix of pregame warmup and just fooling around, then some game action shots. A few of the Warriors asked if I would take their picture and of course I said yes so I'm posting them here for them to see. I hope you enjoy the photos, Ted.

What a cool event for a small town! I was asked to photograph the opening ceremony of the game between Sebastian River High School Sharks baseball and Rockledge Raiders. It was to be Military/First Responders night with free food fir the eligible people. My congratulations to the committee who planned this event, it was nicely done. Almost thwarted by a water pipe gone wild just behind the pitcher's mound which was quickly remedied so the game could go on. The Town mayor Mr. Jones was slated to throw the first pitch after receiving it from a sheriff helicopter landing on the field. Well done all!! The first pitch was a sizzling strike of 42 mph by the velocity gun. Players took the field. Rockledge up at bat first inning , first pitch and blammooo a home run over left field wall. I stayed and photographed as long as I could but unfortunately needed to do some things in town. I am honored to have taken part in Military/ first responder night at Sebastian River High School. This is a great town!! Ted

Whoops, I almost forgot to publish a pitching sequence of #7 I took early in the first inning. I had to leave early so this is all I have of the game. I don't have a roster so would someone please put his name in comments and I will edit the post later. Right now I'm having extreme difficulty typing as a few days ago, I spilled an IBC root beer on my Magic Keyboard , now even after popping off the keys and cleaning, a few still stick, you don't know how many times I've typed this short post.. . Here are a few shots from Little League night. So this is my fifth year taking photos of various baseball teams. When my grandson Isaac started playing baseball, I had recently retired and thought this would be the perfect time to dust off my camera and have some fun. My granddaughter Selah ,at the time, just started tennis lessons so what does a grandfather do? Buy more camera gear of course!! I always have enjoyed seeing new youngsters learning their sport. I was given the opportunity to take some photos at the Little League Night and jumped at the chance even though I had previously made plans for that evening. that is why I had to leave early. When I was packing up my gear to leave, I met a young lady near the home dugout who was taking action shots of the game, I believe her name is Peyton. I had to tell her the story of Peyton Prescott, a Sharks pitcher from about 3 years ago, great pitcher. She was sure enjoying herself and she also worked for the high school year book. Here are some photos of Little League Night.
