For three long years, Sachu and I talked about this concept. We tossed ideas back and forth starting from the covid era, she telling the idea and me imagining the frames, the lighting, and the emotion. It lived entirely in my head for so long, a quiet daydream waiting for the right moment.
I planned out the shots, mood board, color palette, all of it waaay before it actually happened.
To finally bring this vision to life—to feel the sand, capture the movement of the saree against the water, use hands to talk about expressions and watch a concept turn into reality—is a feeling I can’t quite describe, and that too with one of my oldest and closest friends. I am beyond excited to finally share this.
This project also marks my first real dive into the world of creative videography and mastering DaVinci Resolve. Learning the nuances of color grading, cutting to the rhythm of emotion, and shaping a story frame by frame has opened up a whole new world for me. This is just the beginning of a very beautiful creative journey. 🎨🎬
The transition from dreaming to doing is always the scariest part and m glad I could do justice to that. Hope you like it as much as I feel in love with it!
