What do you want to rememeber from this school year?

Its hard to believe that the end of his freshman year is in view. I never want to forget my son at this age. Teetering between youth and adult he is sensitive, thoughtful, strong, and disciplined.

He was just 4 years old with long floppy bangs and skipping all over the gym when he started as a Tiny Tiger . Now he's 15, strong, focused, dedicated, and just earned his black belt. Our hearts beam with pride and love for our boy!!

It was a full days drive through mountains and high dessert to get to this oasis in the middle of nowhere. On this boat holding the precious cargo of my sister and both of our families we played, laughed, teased and bonded and shared a dreamy adventure that would have thrilled my sister and I had we been able to look at this future in a crystal ball when we were young sisters living in our family home in Wisconsin in the 80's.

It was a full days drive through mountains and high dessert to get to this oasis in the middle of nowhere. The few moments before the big moment and full of nervous energy. I love how a classic b&w photo can draw you right in to their faces. Color on the firt aid kit or art on the wall does not need to speak.
