I popped into yesterday! I was there to pick up my order of the 2026 10-Year Anniversary Astrology Cats calendar, featuring MY cat photography!
I had a lot of fun photographing the kitties for the calendar; some of the models had prepared better than others but all were paid in catnip or treats.

There’s a fall chill in the air today, but the sun is out! Perfect weather.
In an attempt to avoid the news for at least one day, it’s just football, and editing photos from the gala last night (Wizard of Oz theme!). Photobooth pics to come. 🦁💚

It took a year and a half for me to okay having a new pup in the house after my buddy Apollo passed away, but this funny little guy Sonder made his way into my home and heart.
It was actually because he took a liking to Roman first (imagine that - see pic of them together for evidence).
I’m gradually learning all his quirks, many that are very particular to him being deaf. I didn’t seek out a deafie or a ‘special-needs’ pup but it’s going fine, as he responds to training and boundaries. Jeffers (resident kitty) is adjusting well…it’s Sonder who has to get used to sharing his space.

Thank you for fostering this goof and putting him in my world, and thank you for everything that you do for 💓

Jeffers is doing 1000 times better than he was just 3 weeks ago; his abscess drain is gone (along with those nine teeth) and his neck is healing up nicely now that his sutures are out. He’s also back to eating plenty. Thank you to all the kind donors who contributed to his campaign so he could get surgery done - it means the world to me that he is healthy and happy again! I couldn’t have done it without you 💓🥰

To everyone who knows my cat Jeffers, and everyone knows how much I love cats, or if YOU love cats (or dogs), or if you’ve ever been in place where your pet needed urgent medical care, OR you simply want to help, I really need YOUR help right now. PLEASE.
My kitty Jeffers has decided that a COVID-19 outbreak is a perfect time to have his first medical emergency.
My cat Jeffers has an abscessed tooth and he needs a dental extraction and abscess repair basically today or he risks something as awful as sepsis, and I have started a Waggle.com campaign to raise the money for it. I used all my immediate funds for his recent appointment, bloodwork, injectable antibiotic and pain medication, but the estimated amount I need for the surgery is something I simply do not have.
I’m on SSDI, I didn’t get one of those stimulus checks (nope), and since December I lost both my old cat Hailey and my old dog Apollo. This makes it extra stressful and very emotional 💔

Jeffers needs your help | Waggle Crowdfunding for cats

For almost 16 years, this little guy was by my side. I don’t know what I’ll do without him. Through grief and birth, through multiple moves and trauma, job loss and chronic illness, he’s been there. Long walks slowed to just a walk around one block, and my carrying him downstairs to help him outside. Apollo’s behavior and emotions often mirrored my own, and he knew when things were hard for me. He hated being away from me; one time when I was away in England, he licked his paw pads raw, he had horrible separation anxiety. He was a nervous nelly. He had a major underbite. He had chronic dry eye in his left eye where he made no tears. He hated his paws being messed with.
But I understood him through and through.
Only 9 weeks ago I lost my 18-year old kitty Hailey thanks to diabetic complications, and she went on her own terms next to me, even though it felt sudden. Apollo seemed to be holding on for dear life despite a mass outgrowing its blood supply and it causing him pain. Both of them saw me through major changes in the last year to a place of new stability before they both went into decline.
I have lost two of my precious friends in a few short months and my heart is aching for both of them. These wonderful amazing animal friends of ours are never here long enough for us. I am so grateful for every moment of joy they’ve given me. I love you Hailey. I love you Apollo. Rest, wherever you are ❤️🌈
