12+ miles of hiking, two days, and one unforgettable elopement.

Courtney & Cole knew exactly where—and how—they wanted to get married. So we built their elopement around the way they love spending time together: outside, exploring, with their favorite people (and pups) by their side.

On day one, we hiked 4 miles into Ptarmigan Ridge with their dogs, sisters, and best friend, eventually reaching a spot with Mount Baker and glacier lakes stretching out behind them.

They pulled out their backpacking tent to change back into their wedding attire, then shared their vows surrounded by nothing but mountains and the people they love most.

And because every good adventure needs good food, they brought their favorite IPAs, pizza, and plenty of snacks to keep our hungry bodies going.

We then hiked another mile down the trail for sunset portraits.

The next day was a little slower and sweeter. We met at Twin Lakes for a relaxed picnic before hiking up Wi******er Mountain, where they had planned their very own first dance.

This is what a two-day elopement can give you:

space to slow down, explore, eat good food, soak it all in, and create a wedding experience that actually feels like your relationship.

Not just a wedding day, but two full days of doing life together.

For M & K, it wasn’t sunshine or rain—it was a blanket of clouds.

And honestly? We couldn’t have asked for better conditions. Cloudy days create the dreamiest light. The colors become richer, the wildflowers stand out even more, and every photo has this soft, timeless feeling that is impossible to fake.

Instead of worrying about what the weather wasn’t, they focused on what the day was.

We spent the day hiking to two different wildflower meadows, and they were absolutely exploding with color. Every turn felt like we had stumbled into another postcard. They laughed through every mile, soaked in every view, and never once let the forecast decide how they felt about their wedding day.

Because at the end of it all, they weren’t there for perfect weather.

They were there to marry their favorite person.
And that’s something worth slowing down for.

The older we get, the more we realize how quickly life’s biggest moments pass. Just this week, I dropped my son off for his very first day of elementary school. It felt like yesterday I was bringing him home from the hospital, and suddenly here he was, walking into school with a backpack that looked way too big for him.

Those moments don’t wait…
Neither does your wedding day. ☁️💍🌺

OMG… did you feel it?!

You open the door in the morning and there it is—the crisp, chilly air that instantly tells you FALL IS ALMOST HERE.

Us Washingtonians know exactly what that feeling means. The mountain slopes are about to turn into blankets of golden yellow and orange, the mountain caps start getting their first dusting of snow, and the air feels extra fresh and crisp.

Fall in the mountains just hits different.

The cozy layers. The changing leaves. The moody skies. The snowy peaks. The golden light.

Fall is a whole vibe, and we are SO here for it.

Tucked away in the forest, Tiffany & Time started their day with a quiet first look by the river before heading out on a small hiking adventure to a secluded lake, where they exchanged vows just the two of them.

Later that afternoon, their parents and brother joined us for an intimate ceremony, followed by sushi, cake, ch*****ne, and all the good stuff. And to end the day, we hiked up to Huntoon Point for wedding portraits.

5 AM. Clear skies. Mount Rainier finally decided to show up. After a few days of wildfire smoke, we got ridiculously lucky. The air cleared, Rainier was fully out, and Tipsoo Lake gave Katie & Tom the most incredible sunrise. They shared a small ceremony with their closest people, followed it with a picnic, and somehow taught us that yes… you can drink out of a shoe👠. Between talking graphic design, being east coasters, and life in general, it felt less like work and more like hanging out with old friends. We spent the morning exploring, laughing, and soaking it all in with the people they love most.

The kind of morning that reminds us exactly why we love this job.

SURPRISE!

They didn’t tell a single person they were eloping. 🤍 V & C planned an epic trip from the East Coast all the way to Washington, said their vows surrounded by the mountains, and only after they were officially married did they FaceTime their families to share the surprise. We were honored to be in on the secret—especially since they found us on TikTok and booked just a month and a half before their wedding. Sometimes the most unforgettable adventures are the ones no one sees coming.

Would you meet me at 4:30 AM for a first look… if it meant having Mount Rainier all to yourselves?

Kendall & Douglas did exactly that. They planned their first look before this beautiful location began welcoming its usual visitors, trading sleep for the first light of the day illuminating Mount Rainier in the background. And for a little while, the only witness to their first look was a deer quietly passing by.

From there, we explored the lake as morning mist floated across the water before heading out on a hike to another lake for private vows and morning coffee. Because coffee was very important.

After their quiet morning adventure, we met up with their family at the Sunrise Picnic Area for their ceremony and breakfast surrounded by the people they love most.
And the celebration didn’t end there. We headed back to their Airbnb, where a private chef was waiting with a delicious home-cooked meal.

The rest of the day was spent exactly how they wanted: eating good food, spending time with their favorite people, and, of course, including their pup.

A 4:30 AM wake-up call might sound a little crazy… but quiet mornings like this? Absolutely worth it.
