One of the things we love most about micro weddings is the freedom they give you to create a day that actually feels like you. You can spend time exploring a place you love, slow down and enjoy the people you’re there with, and still include some of those traditional wedding moments that make the day feel special.

Sofia & Mathew did exactly that. They woke up early for a first look at Artist Point for Sunrise, then shared their vows as the sun slowly warmed up the day. From there, they headed down the mountain to celebrate their marriage in a more traditional way with their friends and family.

After their ceremony by the river, everyone headed to a coffee shop before making their way back to their stunning Airbnb, where a private chef prepared the most delicious dinner.

And because their Airbnb had alpacas and a tree swing, obviously we had to make time for both. 😂

It was such a fun, relaxed, adventure-filled day, and such a beautiful example of how a micro wedding can give you the best of both worlds: an intimate day centered around the people you love, while still getting to celebrate all the little traditions.

Swipe left for the most insane cloud inversion!

We could photograph weddings at Artist Point over and over again, and somehow, it always looks completely different.

Clear skies. Morning mist. Cloud inversions. Sunrise vs. sunset. The couple themselves. The crowds. The weather. So much can change not only how this place looks, but how your entire experience feels.

Rachel and Jordan are the perfect example of doing things differently. They didn’t want the pressure of standing in front of everyone and saying their vows out loud. Instead, they quietly read their vows side by side, with the sun just beginning to peek through the mist.

And instead of a traditional cake cutting? They had a pizza “pie” cutting. 🍕 And to make it even more them, they had their bartender and chef sign off on their marriage license.

And honestly, that is what elopements are all about.

Not following a script. Not doing what you think a wedding is supposed to look like.

Just creating a day that feels like you.

from college sweethearts to a quiet mountain adventure in the Pacific Northwest. 🏔️🤍

J, from Wisconsin, and S, from Japan, met on campus with a little help from two friends who would eventually stand beside them on their wedding day. Two years ago, they moved to Seattle together, and their elopement day was every bit as relaxed, intimate, and wonderfully them as you could imagine.

Mountain views, a little picnic with their dog Oso, cake, FaceTiming family, and plenty of time to simply enjoy each other. No big production. No pressure to perform. Just the two of them soaking in the moment with the people they love most.

A little magical, a little romantic, and with plenty of room for their silly, awkward selves to shine. ✨
And of course, Oso had an important role to play. 🐾
Here’s to a wedding day that felt less like a performance and more like a really beautiful day together. 🤍

What happens when the hike you planned your entire elopement around is suddenly blocked by an overflowing river?

You pivot. And you let us guide you to Plan B.

For every out-of-state and international elopement, we scout the location the day before, check conditions, and come prepared with backup options if something isn’t working.

And for Melanie & Colin? Their backup location ended up being even better than the original plan.
We stumbled upon a rare super bloom of Monument Plants in Colorado, and this trail completely blew us away.

Because the truth is, elopements rarely go exactly as planned. Trails close. Weather changes. Rivers rise. People run late. Plans shift.

And honestly? That’s part of the adventure.

Our job isn’t just to take beautiful photos. We’re here to help you navigate the unexpected, keep the day moving, and make sure you still have an incredible experience when things don’t go according to plan.

Sometimes Plan B ends up being the story you remember most.

MOUNTAIN Lions, men, and bears OH MY 🫣! Sometimes I really do question my career choice because my anxiety has a way of turning every rustle in the bushes into a potential wildlife encounter. 😂

I LOVE this job, but my brain does occasionally remind me that there are mountain lions, bears, and… men out there. I’d never let a couple know I’m internally panicking, but you better believe I count my blessings when I make it back to my house. 😂

All jokes aside, I am SO grateful for this job, the places it takes us, the opportunities we’ve had, and all of our rad couples. And even with anxiety I truly would not pick any other career, I feeling very blessed to call this my job. 🤍

Emily & Mike hired us just three months before their wedding, and somehow, in that short amount of time, we got to witness something that felt so much bigger than a wedding day.

We decided on a sunrise at Artist Point, partly to beat the crowds and partly because there’s something pretty magical about having a place like this almost entirely to yourselves.

And the weather? Very Artist Point. 😂

Cold and moody one minute, sunny the next, then cold again. We basically had no idea what the mountain was going to give us.

But somewhere between the changing weather, the quiet moments, the tears, the laughter, and everything happening around them, I could really feel their relationship.

Not just the excitement of getting married, but the history behind it. The way they looked at each other. The little moments that probably wouldn’t make it into a traditional wedding timeline but somehow tell you everything about two people.

Days like this are a reminder that this is why we love what we do.

Because sometimes we leave an elopement thinking less about the photos we took and more about the people we got to witness loving each other.

And honestly, it made me want to go home and hug my people a little tighter.

Wow wow wow. YALLLL, The emotion in these photos seriously has me at a loss for words. Every time I look through them, I get the feels all over again.

A & N had the most romantic day with us in the North Cascades, and Janelle absolutely knocked it out of the park capturing it all.

The quiet moments, the happy tears, the way they looked at each other… just all of it. 🥹

So freaking good.
