This is the kind of family session I love.

A little bit of posing, a lot of laughing, kids being kids, and plenty of moments in between.

Because honestly, the photos where everyone is perfectly posed are great…

But the ones where dad is kissing mom, the boys are hugging each other, or everyone is laughing together?

Those are the ones that tell your story.

Your family doesn't have to be perfect for your photos to be beautiful. You just have to show up and be yourselves. 🤍

There’s nothing quite like photographing wrestling.

The intensity. The split-second decisions. The determination on their faces.

You can feel how badly they want it just by looking at these photos.

I love being able to freeze those moments that happen so quickly you might miss them in person.

This is the kind of sports photography I want to do more of. 🖤

I don't want your family photos to feel like a photoshoot.

I want them to feel like you.

I want your kids to run around. I want you to laugh. I want the dog to do whatever the heck the dog wants to do. 😂

I'll absolutely get the smiling-at-the-camera photos too, but some of my favorite images are the ones that happen in between.

The messy, silly, imperfect little moments are what make your family yours.

That's the kind of photography I love creating. 🤍

If you've been thinking about booking family photos but you're worried your kids won't cooperate...

Book the session anyway.

Seriously.

I don't expect kids to sit still and smile for an hour.

I want them to play.

I want them to explore.

I want them to laugh.

I want you to interact with them instead of constantly trying to get them to look at the camera.

We'll get the traditional family photos too, but we'll also get the real stuff.

The kind of photos that make you remember exactly what this season of life felt like.

I've been wanting to share more of my sports photography because this is something I genuinely love shooting.

Wrestling has been especially fun because there is SO much happening in every match.

Fast movements, intense reactions, big moments and everything in between.

There’s something about photographing little ones at the beach that I just love.

The running, the exploring, the sandy feet, the dogs that absolutely refuse to stay out of the photos 😂

These are the moments I want to capture. Not just everyone looking at the camera, but the little pieces of a family’s life that you’ll want to remember years from now.

The way your little one played with the dog. The way they laughed. The way they looked at you when they thought nobody was watching.

Those are the photos that mean the most. 🤍

I’ll always believe in photographers supporting other photographers. 🖤

There’s room for all of us. Truly.

One photographer booking a client doesn’t mean there’s one less client for everyone else. We all have different styles, personalities, editing styles, and ways of working with people. That’s what makes photography so fun.

Supporting another photographer can be as simple as liking their post, sharing their work, recommending them when you’re already booked, or just hyping them up when they accomplish something they’ve been working toward.

Building a photography business can feel lonely sometimes, especially when you’re doing everything yourself. I’d much rather see us support each other and celebrate each other’s wins than constantly feel like we have to compete.

So to all the photographers out there, keep creating, keep learning, and keep doing your thing. There’s room for you here too.

Let’s be the kind of photography community that genuinely wants to see each other succeed. 📷🖤
