Liberty County businesses, don’t let fast‑talkers push you into narrow, one‑note marketing plans. A lot of the people giving advice around here have never left Hinesville, never run a real campaign, and are just repeating whatever they heard from social media “gurus” who are only successful on social media, not in the field they claim to teach.

These local “experts” don’t understand how big, layered, and strategic real marketing actually is. They don’t understand psychology, they don’t understand consumer behavior, and they don’t understand that chasing trends is not a marketing strategy.

You’re spending time, money, and energy listening to people who have never participated in a full campaign from planning to ex*****on. If someone’s entire knowledge base comes from TikTok, that’s a sign they don’t know what they’re doing. That’s exactly why I bring in research from business schools, psychology, and industry studies, because marketing is a field where your knowledge has to stay current and grounded in real data.

Yes, you absolutely need a social media presence and social media styled videos. But you also need clean, professional advertising. Anyone telling you that you don’t is showing you they don’t understand how the industry works. If social media alone was enough, the biggest brands in the world wouldn’t still invest in professional creative, paid media, and multi‑channel campaigns.

Real marketing is a out strategy, psychology, design, storytelling, and consistency. Don’t let people with limited experience shrink your potential.

Billboards and TikTok might feel like complete opposites, but they actually share more in common than you’d expect. One is over a hundred years old, the othe...

Most people don’t realize this, but the quality of your advertising is one of the strongest signals of the quality of your business.

This isn’t just marketing talk, there’s real research behind it. Milgrom & Roberts (1986) showed that consumers use the cost and craftsmanship of advertising as a way for judging product quality.
To the consumers, only high‑quality businesses can afford high‑quality advertising, which makes cheap or amateur ads an instant red flag.

More recent studies backs this up. A 2023 replication study found that higher advertising investment consistently increases perceived brand quality across industries, even when the ads themselves aren’t highly informative.

Research published in the Journal of Business Research also shows that the ex*****on quality of an ad, such as how polished it is, it's clarity, and production value, directly shapes how consumers judge the product behind it.

In a field experiment from Stanford (Sahni & Nair, 2020) found that simply knowing an ad was paid increased engagement by 77%, because people interpret paid, professional advertising as a sign of legitimacy and confidence.

Put all of this together and the message is simple: when your ads look DIY, rushed, or made without an understanding of marketing, people assume your business operates the same way. When your ads look premium, people assume your product is premium. Your advertising is the first impression of your brand, and the research is clear, if it looks low‑value, people assume you are too.

Premium advertising does more for your business than most people realize.

When you're cheap and you cut corners on your ads, people assume you cut corners everywhere. However, when your audience sees that you believe in your product enough to invest in high‑quality media, it sends a completely different message. It tells them your business is serious, your offer is worth paying attention to, and your brand belongs in the “premium” category.

Quality attracts quality and your advertising is the first place people notice it.

I'm so happy at the performance of this video! It's getting a 6% engagement rate, and while that may seem low, it's pretty high.

In fact the the average engagement rate on Facebook is quite low, generally hovering between 0.05% and 0.15% per post per follower.

A "good" engagement rate for brands is often considered to be in the 1%–2% range.

If you think you don't need marketing and advertising for your business, remember the advertising market crossed the $1 trillion mark in 2024, joining industries like oil, insurance, and real estate in global spending.

Beyond direct spending, advertising supports a massive portion of the economy, for instance, contributing over $10 trillion in sales activity in the US alone.

Marketing and advertising are essential because
they act as the primary engine for business growth, economic activity, and consumer connection. While marketing is the broad strategy of understanding and meeting customer needs, advertising is the specific, paid tactic used to broadcast those messages to the right audience

Without these tools, potential customers may never know a product exists, regardless of its quality.

Successful companies spend heavily on marketing to prevent "complacency," which could allow aggressive rivals to steal their customers.

Large firms often view advertising as a "money machine", meaning if $1 in ad spend reliably generates $4 in revenue, they will spend as much as possible as long as it remains profitable.

If you want to increase business, you need better marketing plans and advertisements for your business.

To my friends who are business owners, especially in Liberty County. I see a good deal of out dated information floating around so please understand this to help your business improve

Lets start with a fact: SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is more important than hashtags because it drives long-term visibility, reaches users based on search intent, and is favored by modern AI-driven algorithms.

Whats going on with Hashtags

-analyses of millions of posts found that those with zero hashtags actually performed better than those with one or more, suggesting an inverse relationship between hashtag count and reach.

-Hashtags are less effective on TikTok because the algorithm has shifted toward AI-driven keyword search, content, and audio analysis to categorize content, rendering hashtags less relevant. Excessive or irrelevant hashtags, such as generic ones like # fyp, can clutter content, appear spammy, and confuse the algorithm, leading to lower engagement.

-A Hootsuite study found that keyword-rich captions (SEO) received 30% more reach and double the likes compared to posts relying on hashtags.

-Data from Sprout Social indicates that posts with high natural engagement get 3x more reach than those relying on hashtags.

-Hashtags are dying off primarily because of keyword searches. Instagram's algorithm increasingly prioritizes keywords in captions over hashtags.

-Social Insider studies indicate that hashtags in captions have no significant impact on reach, and they are no longer a primary growth engine. Instagram's head, Adam Mosseri, confirmed they do not directly boost reach, and the ability to follow them was removed in late 2024.

-Hashtags are declining on Facebook because the algorithm now prioritizes user engagement (shares, comments, watch time) and AI-driven content categorization over tag-based discovery.

-Hashtags are banned from ads on X, indicating they are not considered valuable for driving engagement in paid content.

-Platforms now associate high hashtag counts with spam or bot behavior. This can lead to decreased visibility or even shadowbanning.

While not totally useless, hashtags are now reduced to a "lightweight categorization" tool rather than a distribution amplifier. They can still be useful in branded campaigns or live events. And on LinkedIn, hashtags can still help surface content, but they work best when limited to a few highly relevant tags. But as a discovery strategy, they aren't as effective thanks to a.i.

If you want to be discovered more, you have to understand how ai algorithms, keywords, and seo optimization works.
