I originally planned to highlight Forsyth Park, the Mercer-Williams House, and the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist—but there's so much incredible information about the park itself that it quickly became the focus.

The next post will dive into the fascinating architecture surrounding the park including , , Mary Telfair Women's Hospital, and the original Candler Hospital. So stay tuned!

Meet your photographer and new best friend. Fun facts about me, the photographer behind Hostess City Travels and Photography:

- I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 11 years.

- We have a 7 year old pup named Mais (and I have no idea what breed/breeds she is. One day we will do a test.)

- I love to be by the water. While downtown Savannah is gorgeous; my husband and I choose to live closer to the marsh.

- I have a pet dear named Nola. She showed up with a broken leg 3 years ago, we nursed her back to health and now she brings the grand dear by to visit.

- I have made some of the best friends here in Savannah. They are my family, my community, my tribe.
