A very unfortunate casualty from last night's storm 😞
Our very beloved greenhouse that we built last fall for Christmas and Fall mini sessions took a hit. I'm hoping that once my husband can come and assess the damage, there's something we can do to fix it up somehow 😭

✨ Eeeek! This is so exciting! ✨

I've had the pleasure of working alongside Paige at several weddings, and she is absolutely incredible at what she does. Not only is she an amazing coordinator who keeps everything running smoothly, but she's also one of those people who instantly makes your wedding day feel less stressful and more enjoyable.

The Events Paige is/has opened a venue in Alexandria MN. The Heim

Am I thrilled… also yep

Here is the deal… I really love special events. I also really love my family. The Events Paige has been a dream come true and will not be going away. Just … traveling less.

Waking up in a hotel every Sunday of the summer and most weekends year round away from my family is less than ideal. I am often 2+ hours away dehydrated, tired and with very sore feet.

I will still be taking on ideal clients/venues on the road. I have many venue teams that feel like best friends, and repeat family and friend groups I adore. I am also hoping some of them may chose to celebrate at The Heim.

The Events Paige services will also be available at The venue at very discounted price point to offer the same supports we have been delivering that past 6 years.

This is a full circle moment. I was a venue for 6 years. I have been a traveling event manager and planner for the last 6 years. I am taking all I have experienced and learned in 100s of venues, 600+ weddings, big city experiences and small town values and rolling it all into The Heim. A place where your event feels at home. I get to spend more time at home and you receive exceptional services from a team that loves what we do!

✨ Studio Update ✨

I wanted to share a little update on the studio and how things are progressing.

Over the past week and weekend, we spent countless hours working through the inventory process for all of my business property and getting everything submitted to insurance. It was definitely a long and emotional task, but I'm incredibly grateful to say that my insurance company has been wonderful to work with throughout this process. Having support and guidance during something so overwhelming has made a huge difference.

I'm also so thankful for the building owner and the other tenants who have worked tirelessly to get everything completed on their end. Everyone has been incredibly proactive, patient, and determined to keep things moving forward, and because of that, we were able to begin one of the biggest milestones yet—cleanup.

Cleanup officially started on Tuesday, and I honestly can't believe how much progress has already been made. Phase one is already complete, and the building has been cleared out. The next step will involve tearing out damaged ceilings, flooring, walls, and other areas that need to be rebuilt.

For the first time since all of this happened, I'm starting to feel genuinely hopeful. Watching things move forward instead of standing still has been such a relief. There is still a long road ahead, but every dumpster filled, every wall removed, and every step completed gets us one step closer to opening the doors again.

My biggest hope is that I'll be able to enjoy being back in my studio, even if only for a little while, before heading out on maternity leave ❤️

In less than 12 hours, this community has shown up in the most incredible way. 🫶

One of the hardest parts about being a small business is that there’s no big corporate safety net behind us when unexpected things happen. So to see our community rally together so quickly with support, prayers, donations, helping hands, and kindness has meant more than words can truly express.

I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has reached out, checked in, offered help, or simply kept all of us affected in your thoughts.

To our first responders — thank you for acting quickly and working so hard to keep everyone safe.
To the fellow local businesses who immediately stepped up to offer temporary spaces, food, lodging, and support to those affected — thank you for showing what small-town community truly looks like.
And to everyone donating clothing, baby items, food, money, and necessities to the families displaced from their homes last night — your generosity is making an unimaginable situation a little less heavy.

What happened last night was devastating for many people, but the love and support pouring out of this community has been overwhelming in the best way.

Sauk Centre truly shows up when it matters most, and I know I speak for many when I say: thank you. We appreciate all of you more than you know. ❤️

Late last night, one of the buildings in downtown Sauk Centre where my studio is located caught fire. Thankfully, all tenants made it out safely, which is what matters most. I’m incredibly grateful for our local law enforcement for quickly spotting the smoke and acting fast, and for our fire department who worked hard to contain the fire before it spread further.

Unfortunately, the damage to the building is extensive and has impacted both residents and several local businesses, including my studio. At this time, we are waiting for inspections over the next few days before we are allowed back in to begin cleanup.

With that being said, sessions at this studio location will be unavailable until further notice. Sadly, there was significant water damage throughout my space, and most everything inside has been destroyed. It’s heartbreaking to see years of building this space come to this, and honestly, starting over feels overwhelming right now.

I’ve never had to navigate something like this or file an insurance claim before, so I’m not sure what the timeline will look like yet. Please just bear with me as I work through the next steps and do everything I can to rebuild and get the studio back up and running again.

In the meantime, for those going through our small town of Sauk Centre, be mindful of dumpsters and folks coming in to help clear out debris from the buildings. The sooner we work together and get these spaces cleared out, the sooner we can build back this part of our town and get people back in their homes and businesses back up and running 🖤
