Welcome to Katie Marie Photography! I'm so excited to capture your special moments.

Whether you're celebrating a milestone like a wedding or simply want to cherish everyday memories with portraits of you or your equine and pets, I'm here to help. Born in Colorado and moving around quiet a bit as a child I ended up in the Hudson Valley of NY. With all the moving around as a child I have learned that photos because a huge part of my life to remind myself of where I've been and who

I have special memories with and I want to help everyone I can with those memories! When I am not taking photos you can find me out on the quads, UTV, playing with my three dogs: Jack, Diesel and Pickle or working with my young mare Beech. Katie Marie Photography knows that capturing those important photos doesn’t come by chance. It takes a real professional who understands composition and lighting - and the talent to work with animals that don’t always want to cooperate. As a fellow horse owner and equestrian I understand all of this very well, but sometimes those "blooper shots" can be the best, really showing our horses each unique personalities. I want to help everyone capture those same memories that they can hold onto for a lifetime. It was such an honor to be there to capture the Ulster County EMS awards ceremony recently! 📸 I truly love being able to support our incredible first responders and celebrate their dedication. Seeing all the hard work and bravery recognized is always so inspiring. It's moments like these that remind me how important their service is to our community. Big cheers to all the award recipients – you deserve it! 🙌

Taking a tiny break from the chaos, the editing queue, and convincing dogs to look at the camera at the same time. Truly one of photography’s greatest Olympic sports. 🫠

Katie Marie Photography will be out of office from May 26th through June 3rd while I recharge, make memories, and probably take 4,000 personal photos anyway because apparently I don’t know how to relax properly.

Three generations of love, strength, and motherhood — with two incredible moms and a beautiful angel baby who will always be part of their story.

Motherhood looks different for everyone, but the love runs just as deep through every chapter, every memory, and every moment shared.

Honored to document something so powerful and full of heart this Mother’s Day ✨

From the bites to the serious model moments, these dogs understood the assignment. Big personalities, happy chaos, and way too many favorites to choose from.

Some sessions are about pretty photos.
Some are about holding onto something you’re not ready to let go of.

This was one of those.

They only had a short amount of time together — but anyone who’s ever loved a horse knows that time doesn’t measure connection. Sometimes it’s instant. Sometimes it’s everything, all at once.

This beautiful mare became more than just a horse in that short time — a partner, a comfort, a piece of her heart.

So this session wasn’t about perfection or posing. It was about being present. Quiet walks, soft moments, and the kind of bond that doesn’t need time to prove how real it is.

End-of-life sessions are never easy. They’re emotional, raw, and deeply important. They give space to honor what was, no matter how long you had it.

Because a year can still mean forever. 🤍
