Stefanie Kraus Photography Capturing the beauty of animals to support animal welfare, advocacy and conservation. I live in Lake Oswego, OR with my partner, Michael, and our rescue cats.

I am a User Experience Designer who loves photography and has a passion for animal welfare. Through my photographs, I invite people to not just look, but to truly see each animal, and to recognize them for their individual personality. My hope is to inspire compassion and change, and to make the world a better place for animals. All my animal photos are from the wild or from sanctuaries around the

US, where the residents come first and are not "on display" to entertain the public. I also serve as the Board Chair of WildCat Ridge Sanctuary, and as a Board member with Cat Town Oakland. This beautiful pair of Great Horned Owls has been building their nest for the past few weeks. Yesterday, the male was calling for the female. She finally flew over and I got a lucky bird-in-flight photo. What an honor to observe these amazing creatures during golden hour 🦉🤎🧡

Just finished an incredible 2-day private photo safari with Point Reyes Safaris and the amazing Daniel Dietrich 🐾

We saw over 40 species — coyotes, tule elk, foxes, owls, hawks, herons, and even playful river otters — but the highlight was definitely seeing bobcats in the wild 🩷
