As with most things in life, timing is everything and unfortunately my desktop computer needed to be upgraded before the printer purchase. 𝙼𝚞𝚛𝚍𝚎𝚛 𝙸𝚅

A composite of two images (mine) and some digital painting/drawing in PS on a Wacom.

I’ve been recently inspired by some very creative and talented photographers that paint or draw on their prints or negatives. Unfortunately, the era of text-prompted AI pseudo-photography has created an online cabal of “straight” photographers ready to declare “fake” at anything that doesn’t pass their fundamentalist scrutiny. It’s a sad state of affairs honestly. The extremes create a form of reactionary stupidity.

If the scene demands a single frame, minimally edited image then I’ll create that. If it demands focus stacking, dodging/burning, curves manipulation, yadda, yadda, yadda, then I’ll do that. If a composite with drawing/painting is what’s called for, then I’ll do that.

To borrow from something Todd Hido expressed in a podcast I recently listened to: my images are really a charge in the air and whether or not they elicit a reactionary spark in the viewer is out of my control.

I know there’s just something lacking in offering your art exclusively in the digital spaces. I’ve been slowly producing framed prints and works for myself and the occasional temporary display at local galleries and other venues.
I hope to improve the process soon with a purchase of a large(ish) format printer. My goal is to get my work out into more physical spaces for people to appreciate and perhaps purchase from time to time.
I am now a member artist at the Adirondack Art Association in Essex, where I will display some of my larger framed works along with smaller, more accessible pieces such as those below.

I know many showed interest in the first image and I’ve finally printed it to my satisfaction. I’m offering it as an 8x12 print on fine art giclee paper with a teakwood magnetic frame/holder for $27 (tax included). Or if you just want the print, it’s $15.

Gazing at the Gothics Range from Boreas Ponds, I find a sense of calm in the rugged beauty of the Adirondacks. The stillness of the water and the enduring majesty of the mountains create a mysterious allure that draws me in every time. What do you feel when you look at this scene? 🌲🏞️

Perfect for adding a touch of tranquility to your space.
