Leaving Idaho again feeling extremely grateful to work with such awesome people and have the opportunities I have 🙌
Never imagined I would be barreling down the steepest, gnarliest, brush covered hillsides I’ve ever seen after those giant Idaho Bull Elk with Cofoid Sesker but man what an incredible experience that was. It was by far the most physical demanding thing I’ve ever done, nothing is even close. You start trucking through that nasty brush, sifting through the pines, climbing over and under trees, falling straight on your back, getting back up and keep going after a bull is a pretty wild experience. Those mountains and just the pure remoteness of where we were makes you appreciate how easy life is when you’re in the thick of it there. We take a lot of things for granted in life, but up there it will make you appreciate it all. It was a high like I’ve never experienced every night when we got back to camp just exhausted and beat.
I wasn’t even hunting this week but I’m leaving today feeling some sort of defeated. We didn’t kill one nor even got a bull on film but also just blessed to be out there, learn about the bulls, how you hunt them, how to make a strategy to get in closer and just all of the little nuances that it takes to just close in on one. It all just makes me want to come back for more.
I’ll have some photos from this week to post at some point later today or tomorrow that I’m so excited to share, but for now thanks for having me Carl! It was a ton of fun and I can’t wait to come back for more
