Hello Everyone. It's been a while and I hope everyone has been doing well. If you haven't noticed I haven't done any photography in quite a while. I've just been riding the ups and downs of life as I'm sure we all have been. If you know anything about me you know that I value creativity, encourage others to pursue being creative (photography, art, crafts, music, etc) and value the therapeutic benefits of doing creative activities. One of my favorite quotes supposedly by Picasso goes "Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life" which I find to be very true not just by doing creative artistic work but also getting out to see, hear and experience art, photography, music, etc. I recently went out to meet up with a friend whose son's band was playing locally at an event put on by so I decided to dust off my camera and take some photos while I was there. If you are into local events featuring bands, arts and crafts, etc make sure to check out to see upcoming events for local bands, artists, etc.

Love both these quotes. I hope everyone is doing well. I hope some of you are taking even a brief moment to stop, take a deep breath, and appreciate the raindrops falling on your head.

Happy Monday Everyone. The holidays are upon us and the year is coming to an end. During the holidays, and the end of the year we have a tendency to look back and reflect. Usually looking for big accomplishments, successes, and sometimes being hard on ourselves on what big things we did or did not do. Too often we overlook the small accomplishments and the small things in our lives. Consider this a reminder to never overlook the little things we do to move forward in our lives. Doesn't matter big steps or little steps. All that matters is you are moving forward. So during this time make sure to reflect and appreciate the little things and moments in your life. For its these little things that matter most.

Photos: This series of photos are of a rain drop I came across during some of the recent rains. I spent a lot of time looking around in the plants till I came across this little guy sitting there. It's amazing to me how something so little and simple can also be so overwhelming beautiful. Remember to be grateful for all things no matter how small.

I once again slapped a trash bag on my camera and went out into the pouring rain. Why may you ask? Why not? Ah how I love the rain. It is a beautiful reminder to slow down, breathe, and clear your mind. Oh and the snails always seem to come out to enjoy it as well. I always enjoy my time stalking the snails as they slowly make their way around in the rain. During the holidays so many of us are go, go, go and well go. So much to do between work, gifts to buy, cards to send, people to see, etc but remember to slow down and take care of yourself as well. It's ok if you can't do it all. Forget the tasks for a moment, take a deep breathe, and be grateful. I hope at least some of you here in LA were able to get out and enjoy the rain as I did. Swipe Right >>>>.

Who else loves rainy days? Sure I look like a crazy person sitting on the ground in the rain, getting soaked, with my head / camera covered with a trash bag and stuck inside a bush but was well worth.
