Sweet Story in the local paper about 'Man's Best Amigo', a photo series of men with their chihuahua's that I have been working on in collaboration with the Espanola Valley Humane Society. Show opens on Father's Day, June 18th, at the shelter.

The stereotype about Chihuahuas is they are small, yappy ankle-biters, but the Española Valley Humane Society wants to show a different side of the breed with their new photo installation,

I'm working on a series of black and white portraits of men from the Española Valley with their Chihuahua's. The show will be a permanant exhibit at the Española Valley Humane Society and open on Father's Day, June 18th, 2017. We are working on raising money to cover the printing, matting, and framing. I made this image in the Escalante, Utah, with my iphone. Used the Hipstamatic app with the Helga Viking lens and Robusta Film. Will be sharing how to use Hipstamatic app in a workshop I am teaching with Peggy Pfeiffer of BadDog Design on November 9th.

Last week I spent an afternoon at the Espanola Valley Animal Humane Society coaching their wonderful staff on how to make better images of the animals up for adoption. The dog is just hanging on my every word! Hats off to Sabrina Terrazas, Jenna Sanches and Barb Tebbel for all your good work with the animals at EVHS! On June 30th I will be creating Fine Art Dog Portraits to benefit their shelter.
