We closed Kenji’s cell phone account and in going through his iPhone before disconnecting I found this single photo.
He is missed very much.
Also, all the remaining money from his GoFundMe has been donated to his family. They will use it for offerings at his memorials and wanted me to thank everyone. The money was supposed to help him restart his life but instead it will help him start his next one ❤️

These pictures were taken in 2009 by Kenji while he was visiting his hometown of Kami Mobiki in Kagoshima prefecture. Most of these people he did not even know yet he was not only able yo get them to agree to be photographed, but he got a lot of them to smile. Both feats are incredibly difficult to do in Japan. As anyone who had been photographed by Kenji knows, he had a magical way of gettimgbprople to relax and be thenselves in front of his camera. This story was relayed to me by his brother Kouichi and Kouichi’s wife Achemi. Kenji is greatly missed every single day 💔.

I helped Kenji on some of his photo shoots when his usual helpers were not available. This was an animal hospital that he took their staff picture each year. Here he is standing on the top of the ladder, oblivious to gravity:). I miss him.
