My name is Alexis Hightower (previously Valavicius) I was born and raised in Malibu, California always surrounded by amazing scenery and people. I discovered my passion for photography when I was 12 shooting with a Minolta X700 35mm that was given to me by my father. I quickly began shooting everything around me nature, animals, action, architecture or just candid. Before digital came into light,

I enjoyed developing and printing my own photos. I was fortunate to work closely with a few well known photographers who encouraged me to further pursue my passion for photography. I currently live in Fayetteville, North Carolina with my husband who is in the US Army. I focus on everything family and couples photography to real estate.

I’m still here 🤍
Lately I’ve felt a little uninspired when it comes to posting. I know being present on social media is part of running a business, but sometimes it just gets exhausting—especially while keeping a busy two year old entertained.

That said, I’m really trying to show up more. I’ve had some truly amazing sessions and events that I’ve captured and haven’t even shared yet, and they deserve a spot here.

One of them is this beautiful baby shower I photographed for one of my best friends while I was back in California. Every detail was so thoughtfully done.
