Something I say to myself during pretty much every session:
I would LOVE to have this photo of my kids/my family.
I'm a sentimental photographer, it's why I "overshoot", it's why I deliver big galleries (don't care about trying not to anymore), it's why I can show up on a day where I'm in a bad mood and can still have the time of my life during the session. Getting to photograph YOUR sentimental moments is everything to me.

In my business I truly value your desire for privacy as a client. I've updated my model release to have options for opting out or choosing to keep identifiable photos of your children private right up front, rather than having to go back and forth about it. If I were new to this business, maybe that wouldn't be a smart move, but I'm not and I have a wonderful body of work that I'm happy with. I won't ever share your name or anything personal about you. I won't post your photos before you see them. I'm shifting towards no longer sharing identifiable photos of minors on my social media feed, since AI has changed everything about the way I feel about this space.

It's a complicated world that we live in, and I value your trust more than anything else as a photographer.

Today I am especially grateful

For the family that said "yes" to organ donation on their worst day, for the donor who gave my son life

For the surgeons, doctors, NPs, nurses, nutritionists, anesthesiologists, pharmacists, phlebotomists and countless other medical professionals that will forever be a part of our family for working hard to keep my boy alive

For my mother, who dropped everything to raise my big girl when I couldn't be there, who sat with my sick baby in the hospital when my husband and I needed a break....we couldn't have gotten through it all without her

For my husband who stayed steady and strong through the worst times of our life

For my daughter, who was so patient and flexible during every hospital stay or emergency we've ever gone through with her brother

For my son, who has endured more medical trauma than most of us could ever imagine....and is still the biggest ray of sunshine ☀️

Happy 5 year liver transplant anniversary sweet boy!! Life is so much better with you in it ♥️♻️

So technically it's spring, but before I move on with my feed let's just release a collective New England sigh over what a winter we had 🫠. I love snow, I do, but I found myself wanting to take back my wish for a "real" winter like we used to have when I was a kid. February almost broke me.... ALMOST. March is doing it's crazy old part winter part spring with some summer days mixed in thing and I'm just rolling with it.
Here's some winter joy with this adorable maternity session I did! So looking forward to seeing this crew again in warmer weather and with a new bundle of joy.
