I have been terrible keeping up with social media this year, but here's a little glimpse into the chaos of my life.

It's our adopted rescue pup Winnie's first gotcha day!

Lots of unecessary barking, mistakes in the house, chewing things she shouldn't, but we still love this smiling half Great Pyr lunatic.

I'm excited to support the Cahoon Museum of American Art
and their mission to keep the arts thriving on Cape Cod by donating two of my snowy owl photographs to this year's Great Brush Off Art Auction.

Bidding is open from June 27 through July 12, and if you've ever wanted to bring one of my wildlife images home, this is a great opportunity to do it while supporting an amazing local organization.

These images came from some very cold days spent on the beaches of Cape Cod with one of our most incredible winter visitors.

Take a look, place a bid if one speaks to you, and maybe one of these snowy owls will find a new home on your wall while helping support a place that does so much for the arts in our community.

Most of my senior sessions involve a beach somewhere.

Joanna had a different idea.

She wanted woods, trails, fall colors, and her guitar.

So instead of heading for the Cape Cod shoreline, we spent the afternoon exploring Myles Standish State Forest with her family close by and a guitar never too far away.

One of my favorite photos from the session wasn't planned at all.

As we were walking between locations, I spotted a stop sign and asked Joanna to lean against it with her guitar.

The reaction was immediate.

"What am I doing?" 😂

But that's often how the best photographs happen. A little trust. A little creativity. A willingness to try something unexpected.

When the gallery was ready, that quirky stop sign portrait quickly became a favorite. In fact, Joanna loved it so much that she chose it for her yearbook photo.

Let's just say Mom and Dad weren't entirely convinced at first.

But that's what I love about senior portraits.

They're not really about creating the photo everyone expects.

They're about capturing a young adult at a moment when they're becoming more confident in who they are, what they love, and where they're headed next.

For Joanna, that story included a forest, a guitar, and one stop sign that ended up being exactly the right choice.

Summer is here on Cape Cod… even if Mother Nature missed the memo this past weekend (and might “forget” again next weekend too).

But honestly? Gray skies, ocean mist, wind-blown hair, barefoot walks, clam shacks opening back up, hydrangeas getting ready to show off — that’s Cape summer too. The weather may be undecided, but the feeling of summer here never really is.

A few more of Ethan and Maddy's maternity session.

The "glamour" of being a working dad! 😅📸

I was out yesterday doing some video work for Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. The drone was up, the lighting was perfect, and then... the 4-year-old "I gotta p**p" siren went off. 🚨

In this business, you have to be able to pivot. Whether it's a change in the weather or a sudden toddler crisis, I’ve learned that patience is the most important tool in my camera bag. We scurried to a nearby trail, used some "creative" supplies from the car, and got right back to work.

I love what I do because life is rarely perfect, but the best shots usually happen when you’re patient enough to roll with the reality of it.

So proud to see Habitat for Humanity receive a $2M grant for this Falmouth project. It’s going to do so much good for our community!

Congrats to Habitat for Humanity of Cape Cod. I am always excited to work and volunteer with such a great organization!

If you have my phone number as a 508-978-5511, I no longer am using that number. It was a business line connected to a CRM tool I was using last year. Please update my contact number to 339-364-0411.

And if you have a junior in high school, it's time for Senior Portraits! Reach out before my summer is booked! And start mewing now!😂

New policy for 2026:
No kids at family sessions.

Everything runs on time
Everyone listens the first time
No chaos
(In certain cases, uncooperative husbands may also be asked to leave.)

But as someone with a 4 and 11 year old, I know the chaos is where the best moments actually come from.

That’s where the real smiles happen. The in-between stuff you can’t plan.

A big part of what I do is just being patient long enough for that to show up.

Most parents leave a session hoping we got one good shot.
Guess what?
I'm used to the chaos and I thrive in keeping it "controlled chaos" that leads to great geniune portaits that people love.

Happy April Fools
