Katie + Brad + Enchanted Hills Estate makes me realize math can be fun!!

We had the best time running around Enchanted Hills Estate to celebrate K&B’s engagement. We met Buddy the cat, who’s the friendliest welcoming committee there is. It was perfect to capture their love of feline friends!

We almost gave up🫣

We almost called it quits when the bumps in the road started before I even took out my camera. Those with littles, you know how it be😉

But. We. Did. Not. Give. Up.

Grumpy littles, accidents, and bad days are not a curse on your session. It’s a part of life. And that’s what we want to remember when it’s gone.

If we had assumed the session was washed, we would’ve missed on incredible, genuine family moments. Little toes. Brothers being brothers. How ⓒⓐⓡⓘ ⓓⓔⓝⓝⓨ✞♧ and Mikey Denny parent, comfort, love their boys. We would’ve missed the depth of what it truly meant to cherish this season in all that it is.

It was an honor to be with the Denny’s - and these photos… well… THIS is what you get when you never give up.

Get to know Cindy, the AUTHOR!

Cindy DeLaurell and I laughed for 30 minutes and she’s walking away with headshots that are more “her” than ever before. Now, the readers of her future book (!!!) will know more of the heart behind the book. They feel more comfortable knowing that they could have a conversation with the author if they met her in the grocery store or at an airshow.

Also - peep the earrings!! ✈️ We love an Easter egg 😉

Happy Father’s Day

Thinking of some of my favorite images of the recent season capturing all the joys of fatherhood. To when you have to try hard and barely try - today we lift you up.

I saw a post by Paige Connell commenting about how Father’s Day cards can sometimes water down the deep and incredible work of fatherhood by minimizing it to golf days, beer, bodily noises, and sitting on the couch. Those things may be present, and have the right to be, but they don’t capture the what true fatherhood is and should look like. I hope these images do.

Cheers to men who make fatherhood a vocation and not just a status—to great Dads, those on their way to becoming great Dads, who had a great Dad, and who admire great Dads. And holding those in grief still waiting for the above.

There’s nothing like that morning glow 🔆

We got together for the perfect Sunday morning session. One hour, all the combos, and some we didn’t even know we wanted. The donuts didn’t make it in the photos… but they weren’t around for very long 🤷‍♀️

If your weekend mornings are actually the best time to meet, say no more - I’ll be there, tea in hand, ready for the glow ✨
