Today I went to Lake Anderson to see the historic overflow. It has been 11 years since the last time Lake Anderson has topped its spillway, and 30 years since it has been this high! Now we know that a large earthquake will likely damage the earthen structure. Santa Clara Water District is under orders not to let it fill above %65! Mother Nature didn't get the memo. Of course, since the last time the lake was full they have built a whole new neighborhood right below the dam. What could go wrong?

I went whale watching with some friends on Friday. It was an outstanding trip! We saw lots of humpback whales, common dolphins, and killer whales. But the behaviors where breathtaking. While we watched the killer whales chased down and caught some dolphins. I hadn't even seen that on TV!
