CALL FOR CREW — BAY AREA (PAID, NON-UNION NARRATIVE FEATURE)

We’re continuing to staff up for ANGELS EVERYWHERE, a narrative feature film with documentary/memoir elements — a q***r fantasia — shooting in the Bay Area this spring.

LOGLINE: A trans elder embarks on a magical journey, re-enacting her life and her role in American q***r history, as she awaits eternal judgement. Her story, in her own words.

We are specifically seeking experienced Transgender and BIPOC crew members for the following key roles:

• 1st AC
• 2nd AC / DIT
• Script Supervisor
• Sound Mixer
• Boom Operator
• Hair & Makeup Artist

The production is led by a mostly female-identified and LGBTQIA+ cast and crew, and we’re committed to a collaborative, respectful, and care-centered set culture.

This is a PAID, non-union production.

At Liberty Lane Films, sometimes we get to pause and take a moment to celebrate the amazing, beautiful, creative and hardworking souls who labor to bring more joy into the world.

We love partnering with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Inc. to elevate their work and help them with their brand storytelling. Recently, we organized a photo shoot led by LLF’s J. Andrew, partnering once again with the immensely talented photographer Fred Rowe. But, we couldn’t wait to share a few of his amazing snaps with you. We are especially grateful to Nate Bourg and The Academy SF for donating their beautiful event space in the Castro for us. (The Academy is SUCH a VIBE!)

This holiday season, we wish you the merriest of days—even through the darkness—and a healthy and hopeful new near!

Yours in Community,

2025 YEAR-END NEWSLETTER: 🎁🎄🕎 A Year of Gratitude + Last Chance to see your name in the credits! 🎁🎄🕎

Dear Liberty Lane Films Family,

As 2025 draws to a close, it’s important that we take stock of what we have and the communities that support us and nurture our growth. I say this often—but I truly mean it—I’m grateful to our community in San Francisco, and the many partners that enable my team and I produce the films and events that bring us closer together.

🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️ Update on Meet Me at the Club: The Castro Country Club Story 🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍⚧️

We’ve been working tirelessly and diligently to develop the story of this important film. It may seem like not a lot is happening, but it has been a continuous labor of love and devotion to the fidelity of this story. We’re excited to be nearing the end of this 5-year journey in time for our premiere this summer.

In addition to the main film, we are working on a second feature focusing on different stories, as well as a limited series version of the film. With over 180 hours of footage and over 50 folks interviewed, there’s a wealth of history and resilience—and we want the world to see it!

Now is one of your last chances to see your name up on the big screen!

Donate, contribute, and support this important film before December 31, 2025 and see your name in the credit wall on our website, and in the credits of the film! We are just $1,500 away from our year-end goal. Will you help us cross the finish line?

🌉🌉 Supporting our LGBTQ+ Immigrants and Asylum Seekers 🌉🌉

In October, Liberty Lane Films partnered with Mirac L, the Imperial Council of San Francisco, Oasis Arts, fabulous performers and amazing co-hosts to produce Performance with Purpose: Right to Remain, a fundraiser benefiting the LGBT Asylum Project who support and defend our LGBTQ+ friends and allies as they flee persecution to build a life here in the United States. There has never been a more important time than now for us all to stand together.

YOUR SUPPORT ENABLES US TO DO THIS WORK THAT WE LOVE.

It is never lost on me the privilege that we have to capture stories and share them with the world. With such a vibrant, beautiful and eclectic filmmaking community here in the Bay Area, we really feel connected to a higher creativity.

Your support of our film work enables us to continue to deliver truly independent cinema but allowing us to highlight and uplift stories not typically centered on screen.

Thank you for celebrating the art of truly independent storytelling with us. We wish you, your friends, family and loved ones a joyful, safe, healthy, and prosperous new year. We’ve got a bunch more exciting things to share with you in January, but for now, I simply wish you a very merry holiday season.

Yours in Community,
J. Andrew
