A wonderful evening of culture and learning of Emiratis. This chanting is a Al-Ayyala - a UNESCO-recognized performance for weddings and national holidays where two rows of men face each other, chanting poems of valour and chivalry to the beat of drums. It simulates a battle, with performers wielding thin bamboo canes, swords, or rifles.

Like a surrealistic painting, this moon replica is slowly rotating in the center of Old Royal Naval College at Greenwich - yes, that Greenwich of GMT fame aka ZERO meridian - aka Zulu time in military speak.

Museum of the Moon is a touring artwork by UK artist Luke Jerram. Measuring seven metres in diameter, the moon features 120dpi detailed NASA imagery of the lunar surface. At an approximate scale of 1:500,000, each centimetre of the internally lit spherical sculpture represents 5km of the moon's surface.

CDMX - Mexico City - The heart of Mexico City is the Plaza de la Constitución. Residents began calling it the Zócalo, The 2nd picture does not capture the size of the HUGE flag in the center. There were a lot of trucks and security - as the election was 3 days later !

And they elected the FIRST woman president of Mexico ! (of course - after i left)

I felt completely safe. Even with an camera alone - no one bothered me. I ate normal places and walk thru the shops with my high school Spanish.
