They call the Aspen groves of Colorado "The Whispering Giants," a name that seems to suit these ancient sentinels of the Rockies. Legend has it that these trees hold secrets in their quaking leaves, a hidden language known only to the wind. The way they shimmer under the autumn sun, their golden leaves trembling like a thousand tiny bells, it’s easy to believe they’re alive with more than just the breeze.
The locals tell of a myth—that each Aspen tree shares a single root system, making the entire grove one organism, the largest living entity on Earth. They call it "Pando," a name derived from the Latin word for "I spread," symbolizing the interconnectedness of life itself. But these groves are more than a biological marvel; they are storytellers of the mountains. It's said that the Aspens are haunted by the spirits of those who’ve roamed these peaks—Native Americans, pioneers, and even travelers who met their fate in the wilderness. The leaves’ constant trembling is rumored to be a shiver of sorrow for the departed souls.

I've been taking pictures on auto for years but didn't know anything about composition, the camera, Lightroom... so I took a workshop with Craig, Zaman, James and Alex last Fall and it changed everything for me. Zaman was particularly helpful, so I took his workshop in Chicago. Now I feel like I can actually do this! Here's my first skyline picture. It's not perfect, but it's not bad.

I'm just getting started with this business page and Etsy to show and hopefully sell some photography prints. So this is just the very beginning. It will smooth out as I learn more about how all this works and interacts. Meanwhile, it's a fun, new project.
